Hardest 2 or 3 ball runout situation

Here's a challenge/question...

WHat's the hardest 2 or 3 ball layout to run out?

using cuetable to diagram it (preferably) and showing the layout of balls you would think/or have seen to runout with just 2 or 3 balls left on the table...

So let's discuss it, if you walked to the table personally with 2 or 3 balls remaining in the biggest game or your life what's the absolute worst layout you would want to see remaining? and not really a situation that both (or all 3) balls all locked together..... I just want to see some really tough (for you) 2-3 ball layouts...

This would be mine

I've had similar layouts where they were off the rail and I could bank the last 3, but those long ultra thin cuts are my nemesis:mad:

there's a simple one that would disgust me a bit (maybe I made it a littlle off... put the 8ball a lil buit further into the middle of table)... simple in concept I guess... but for me personally those inside out cut shots (8ball) just dont fit my eye at all and then coming all the way around the table for the 9, or not caroming into it on the 8ball shot or bring the scratch into play because of the carrom... Yuck, I would hate to see this situation (for me)

I'm with Hbend... I hate balls on the rail (but I've been practicing;))

The two you guys posted are almost impossible situations... I was thinking mor on the line of "makeable" runs but really uncomfortable layouts, not being hooked thats obviously the worst case scenario, lol. just a really tough 2-3 ball layout. The one I posted is an example (just for me personally) something that can be done.. but I dont like it. :-(

I'll bite...

This is the first one that comes to mind.

//[Edit] I was thinking toughest to run with ball in hand.

This one's given me fits before too. It's come up multiple times for me.
I practiced it for about an hour after the last determined that I would be scared no more!

I was thinking 'toughest two-ball out with ball in hand'.

I missed the point of the thread :o

No, really you didn't I'd also being iterested in seeing the worst situations with 3 balls left and ball in hand, come to think of it that might be even better to analyze...

hardest i've run

Not the hardest 2 ball layout by any means, but this is the hardest I can remember actually being able to run.

Stumpers

For 8-ball, take ball-in-hand. Will result in a stalemate since no one will take a shot since they will lose.

For 9-ball, shoot it as is. Or, if you had ball-in-hand, you might be able to foul by hitting the 9-ball first and give your opponent ball-in-hand and hope they don't make the 9-ball after the 8-ball drops.

With a 3-foul = loss rule in effect the person shooting first is at a disadvantage since there can be no stalemate.

For 9-ball:

For 8-ball:

Shoot as is. Or, take ball-in-hand, but you are going to scratch if you try and shoot either of your two striped object balls directly into one of the corners.

Hey Spank-

Not sure. It looks like you got it pasted from cuetable to forum topic reply-then I think you highlight it all there and then hit that little blue 'wei' box (top/right) above message field. Not sure though.

PS: check your visitor messages-

Take care.

Yeah, ground rules should probably be something like, ball in hand is allowed and every ball has a path to a pocket. Otherwise I'm going with this one....

:grin-square:

For WoodyJ's scenario with Ball in Hand:

For the first 8 ball Scenario; why not set the cue by the 8, thin the eight knocking the 3 to around the top rail with the cueball going one rail towards the middle of the table?

I am assuming I am on the 8 ball...lol.

Sorry, didn't want to copy all fo the wei tables.
