I missed the event last night. How was on-line attendance as far as you guys could tell?
Let's put it this way: We have done our last straight pool match.

I contributed my $25 and didn't even watch most of it. It seems that all of the viewers are regular AZ posters and until you can appeal to the masses that aren't on AZ then you are kind of stuck with a ceiling of how much you can actually make. It may be a situation where there needs to be a lot of sponsorship dollars and big marketing to make your idea really successful. You guys are doing a great job and the quality is outstanding. Have you thought about pitching the idea to a tv executive or studio? I'm not saying you can't be successful with the current PPV format, but that to be really successful (ie...making lots of $$$) you might need a lot of pull from major players.

I must tell you this, I can't stand to sit and watch pool for very long. PERIOD! I would rather be playing and enjoying the game.
Now I must congratulate you on an incredible job. I watched the entire game and was mesmerized. I even enjoyed the comment about Hershey Squirt hamburger at dairy Queen. :D I will be watching tonight and tomorrow. I will support anything you guys do. You have a customer here!:D

I'll be honest, I'm not very big on straight pool but I did throw my money in the pot because I hope you guys do well and have success in these outings. I also figured I could find someone in the chat that wanted to make a sweat bet to make it more interesting to watch. I succeeded in finding someone to donate to so I feel much better about about having watched the match.

I will be watching tonight and hoping to learn a little sumthin.

It's TOO Confusing To Think About Until Later

Well, if you don't televise it, how can people subscribe and watch it and then post the Updates here on AZb for those of us that didn't buy it ?
Doug
( I just don't get it..... imo )

Justin I dont think you should give up so easy. You got to remember there is a big, big international crowd. Straight pool is big in Europe right now. If you could get a Ralf Souqet or a Neils Feijen or a THorsten Hohmann against an east coast guy like Tony Robles or Alan Hopkins or even against Efren who is pretty good straight pool player you can take down some numbers.
14.1 is also played by the Taiwanese. A guy from Taiwan came in second several years back in the US 14.1 open and he wasnt their best. Souqet took first and Efren came in third.
I just think there is a gold mine out there but its got to include the rest of the world. Harriman and Schmidt is big in my book but I think they are really not well known outside of our circle.
Good luck to you guys anyways.

As you can see Smorg, he asked about the attendance.

How was on-line attendance as far as you guys could tell?

I don't think they are concerned about the updates here on Az. The match took over 7 hours. If you are paying production cost and saleries. that could be expensive. the true entertainment for those of us that purchased it, was watching the outstanding play.
Peace, Purdman

On second thought, maybe he has a problem with it. He hasn't spoken up. Perhaps he has sticker shock. I for one really appriciate it.

Thanks, I've never had anybody explain it to me like that before....
