I was shown a cue a few weeks ago, made by a guy in Oklahoma.

I believe his name was Audrick?

Does that ring any bells to anyone?

EDIT: I was just told that the maker was from OK....people seem be full of sh__ around here a lot lately though.

I have heard the name, however, I am unsure if the individual is from Oklahoma. The individual I have heard of make cues in the Philippines!!

Hope this helps

I'm not sure...I googled the name after I posted this and only saw that the name was associated with cues from the Philippines and most the the reviews I skimmed over didn't give a very good reputation.

Audrick is in the phillipines i am pretty sure. Someone may of be mis informed selling the cue. I could be wrong though.

Audrick cues from the Phillipines I have yet seen a straight one here in California.

As for Auerbach I have a friend that has two of them and loves them stiff and crisp hitting cue.

that is funny.i have a freind who collects these Phillipine cues.he has soem JD,Audrick,Vantay(sp) etc,and the other day he pulled a few out to try and sell one to a guy.he had 4 of them.they look nice.loaded with ivory or Amboyna or Sankewood or whatever.the guy hit a few balls and started rolling them on the table to test for straightness.everyone of them was extremely warped.the joint lifted almost 1/2" on one of them.it made nois when it was rolled b/c it slapped the table when it rolled over.

yeah, I looked up the Auerbach cues, and the phone number on their website is an Oklahoma number...that must be the one I was looking for.

Hey Mason, does he like to ride the nine about every 4th shot?
I saw a few of his cues the other day too.

I've seem a few really high end Vhante from the phillipine and they are still straight..about 6 months now. A friend of mine had the pin replaced with a black G-10 Radial and if you play with it you would have thought it was from one of the high end builder!! I'm sure most of them will warped as soon as it get here due to moisture difference just as cue built here will warped in the phillipine no matter how you season your wood. It's definitely has nothing to do with the skills and craftsmanship of these builders...who generally works in team.

The secret is to refinish them and they will be straight like any other cue once the component are settled. I think just the component alone from these cues are well worth the money. It was even better when they had real ivory on everything. I still have a Miranda that play awesome but we had to add a new handle and it now straight and solid. It's definitely worth the investment if you like a pretty cue that also play solid for cheap.

Refinishing the cue with a new handle will cost you about $200 plus depend on who's doing the work for you but once it done you can bet it will be a players cue. Some of the work on these cue are dead perfect and they are hand inlayed...the craftsmanship from these builder are amazing...especially for the price.

Regards,
Duc.
