pool or a specific pool player?
In all my years of watching the network, I've never seen the slightest mention of any billiard sport or player on Sportscenter, Outside the Lines, etc. I think I read Danny Basavich was interviewed on First Take, but I didn't catch it. Besides, that's a fringe show anyhow. And Jim Rome had Jeanette Lee on his show, but it was a fluff piece.
It's really surprising. As myopic in their coverage as ESPN is, they do occassionally give some love to the "fringe" sports. When the Poker Boom was happening, there was a nice, lengthy segment on Stu Ungar.
SVB is the perfect story. But I suspect that he needs to become more dominant before his life gets a biography piece on ESPN.
So does anyone know if there's been coverage of Efren, Earl, Johnny, Allison on one ESPN's bread and butter shows?
