Almost got me laid to rest a couple of times, as far as the sex part goes...it's a definite maybe.

I got screwed many times.

Screwed meaning hosed out winning a few sets. Never got paid. Same thing...got fk'd.

yep...pool players have bigger sticks, get felt on the table, have more balls and do it on cue.

League night at our home bar..

We finished playing, everybody else went home. I stuck around to play a couple of games.

This woman comes over and asks if we're all done playing league, she wants to shoot a few games. Sure, I say. She says bar rules, she doesn't know enough about any other rules.

I rack, she breaks (not very well), and we play four games. I'm sandbagging, but not making it obvious. I miscue a couple of times, mess up position, etc.

Getting close to closing time, and we've been hitting it off pretty good. She's asked me a few times how to shoot a shot, and we've gotten physically close a few more times. So I go in for the kill..

Me: "Last game.. wanna raise the stakes ?"
Her: "What are you thinking ?"
Me: "If I win, I get to spend the night with you."
Her: "Interesting.. and if I win ?"
Me: "You get to spend the night with me."

She looks me in the eyes, leans in for a kiss, and after that says, "You got a bet."

I broke and made the 8.

Her: "Nice. You knew how to do that, didn't you ?"
Me: "You'll never know."

We got to my place 10 minutes later.

She left in the morning. :D
 
Once, just met the girl, played a couple games w her and then her son called to see if she needed a ride home, I hear her say, 'no, Scott will give me ride'. I'm like shat, that was easy. Went back to her place after another drink and a couple more games.

Passed on the bartender there, that would have been as we say in retail, 'a lay down', knew where she had been lol.

I would've lost the game, rather get her bed tore up over mine. Plus I can leave when I want. :grin:
 
Met my wife at a pool hall. Her roommate at the time was a waitress there and she would come over after work to shoot the bull and have a couple of beers. Struck up a conversation with her the second time I saw her there and the rest is history.
 
Took a girl on a date and won all of our beers at the table.

I don't think she was particularly impressed tbh.

Still fooled around tho ;)
 
Pool Leagues are a Great Social Environment

When I became divorced after 18 years of marriage, I was totally out of touch with the new era of 'dating' and relationships. I was lost as a goose.
Playing in the pool leagues was a great way to meet girls in a non-pressure environment where I was not forced into committing to buying dinners or being taken advantage of financially.
It was like shooting doves over a baited field.
Playing pool with women gave me more sex than I could handle. And it was so natural and fun. Especially with the younger ones...they just loved me to death.
The pool room that was our home room was connected to a nightclub with a dance floor and bar. I had always been a good dancer so this was just made to order for getting to know a girl. Dance, drink, eat, shoot pool, go on league trips to other pool rooms...man, what a setup!
I had 5 years of great times before hitching up again.
 
Not in the past 55 years, but I'm hoping for a turnaround next week. Wish me luck. :smile:
 
While in the military (some 20 years ago), I was doing temporary duty at another base in the Midwest and decided to checkout the local VFW outside the base on a Friday nite. It was early in the evening so there were not a lot of folks...just myself and some regulars. The pool table was not being utilized and so I just started knocking some balls around when the first challenge came.

I wasn't there to set any records or run any tables it was just fun and we took turns winning and losing. As the evening progressed, more folks started putting their quarters up and eventually it turned into partner pool. I had noticed a girl there with some of her friends. Her attention kept shifting from her friends and watching the activity on the table. I needed a partner and so I figured what the hell and asked. Her eyes got big when I asked and she said..."well I can play a little as we have a table at home but I'm not really that good". I tell her that's not a problem...we win some and lose some.

When it was our turn to play I quickly tried to match myself against the better players and if lucky she would face the weaker players. She missed when I told her to and even made some great shots when she had to...bottom line we did great. She soon forgot her friends and just focused on pool. She was so excited about playing and winning that she soon started getting touchy feely. In the end...the place closed for the nite and we spent the weekend together which turned into many weekends after that until I left to go home.
