Hat tip - SDBilliards

I picked up a Gold Crown a few weeks back and had some trouble finding replacement cushions that would fit properly. After reading through this forum and not truely understanding the issue with replacing Monarch Superspeed cushions I decided to call Glen (RealKingCobra) and he recommended that I talk to SDBilliards as he is local here in Southern California.

I paid the table mechanic that moved the table, but asked him to go ahead and leave it dissambled so I could have Donny finish the table.

I did just that and I couldn't be happier. I was nervous as he wanted to pick up the rails and bring them back in about 3 weeks and finish the table. Having been around pool for a number of years I figured 3 weeks was going to turn into 3 months.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt and didn't call to follow up until it got closer to 3 weeks and sure enough, he was ready to deliver and we scheduled a time.

I honestly figured I was going to get a call about an hour after the agreed upon time and he'd either be flaking or really really late. But nope, he showed up on time and had everything that he needed.

I played on the table last night and it's the best table I've ever played on and I couldn't be any happier. The level of work is top notch and the table plays fantastic. The subrails were extended to tighten the pockets and I think they are the perfect size at about 4.5". Very fair, but still tough enough to require a little effort to pocket balls.

He "recalibrated" the rails and installed Artemis Intercontinental K66 rails with new Simonis 860 cloth and it sure does play spot on.

Im glad your happy Kevin and enjoyed working on your table. Thanks again for lunch, it was nice getting out of the heat and into a nice air-conditioned restaurant.

Donny just recovered my Global bar table with Simonis 860HR. He does fantastic work. Very meticulous, careful, and thorough. A couple of years ago, he did my Community center two 9-foot Gandy's. Again a perfect job, he even cleaned the balls when he had finished. If you live in Southern California, Donny is your go-to man.

How many Diamondnized GC's are there in SoCal now ?

Congrats.
Welcome to the club.

Now, only if Danny K's converts all their Forge's to Diamondnization by Donny.

See...I told you Donny would take care of your table:D

Donny did my GC4 and it plays fantastic.

I do have a question though - what do you mean by "re-calibrated" the rails?

I emphatically agree with the OP. Donny reworked my GC V Tourney Ed.and it went from being a so-so table to a Great Table. Thanks again, Donny.
