That case is the nutts if you have a Viking to go inside. A couple of observations, the lock looks like it has been scrubbed with steel wool or some abrasive, and the cover on the case is either embossed leather or vinyl. It might just be the best example I have seen, especially the interior. Great find.

anyone have any ideas on value i might be interested in selling it but i dont want to ask some stupid price?

thanks hh...yea if the lock was perfect this case would be the DEAD NUTS...but the body is sweet and inside is really nice....the fact that none of the seams are lifting is awesome and only one scale is missing makes this a really nice find....some viking owner would have a prize case to put there fancy viking in....thanks mickey carroll...ps i could bring this with me to sbe if someone wants to pick it up there...

Lucky duck.
Just to let you know if you decide to keep it, Feibings makes a leather and reptile cleaner and conditioner. The scales might not be lifting but they may be dry to the touch. The conditioner will soften the scales and they will lay down flat. I use it on my boots so know that it does work well.

Those are cool. I have a couple of them. They are made of embossed Corfam.
Its a synthetic similar to Vinyl. I keep a couple of my Vikings in them. I may be interested in buying it.
