just bought a high-end cue collection it had this one in there I know nothing about Joss cues.. he said he bought it new in the early to mid 80s I do believe...
I've never seen scrimshaw work on the joint.. has Ivory and looks like mother-of-pearl or abalonia in the butt thanks in advance...
Feel free to message me the values I will sell it once we establish what it's worth

I’m pretty sure that’s not ivory. Ivory typically doesn’t have a cream color to it and it’s also veiny too. That’s a nice cue for a joss but I don’t believe it’s as high end as it let’s on.

That's not what I would consider high-end as compared to what I bought that's just one I had to take with it I'm pretty sure that's ivory though... appreciate your input

Danny JanesJoss, I have seen his joints engraved before

i would be surprised if all the white is ivory Danny is a good cue maker
I haven't heard much about him lately

When you figure out value pm me, wouldn't mind owning it depending on the shaft(s).

I too have seen Janes joints engraved. This does not look like engraving, imo.

As to the ivory, look for the tell-tale Schreger lines.

It looks like a cue that would be made for a tournament winner or auction at a tournament.... Chopdoc might know.....

The engraving on the joint was offered in the late 80’s? early 90’s? as an option. I think it was done by Laser Art or something like that. Let me see if I have an ad for it

Edit. Not sure if it was an option. The brochure came with a joss catalog and had options and a price list.

I am going to go out on a limb on this one. I have seen these in the past and I think they were around 1K range when new.
