Have You Found the Cue that is Your Magic Feather?

BTW - I could sense you thinking about my Tucker while you slept, and it made me very uneasy  ....since I was sleeping with it.

I feel creepy now. I think I need to go take a shower.

Mine would be my mid 80's Joss Custom. Had it since the early 90's and knew the moment I hit with it I wanted it. Had it refinished and I call it my right hand. Never will sell it. I have bought other cues after it. I also have a very nice It's George that I love to shot with, but afraid to bring it out of the case because of dings or other people's carelessness.

My Blackboar is indeed a magic cue, but my daily shooter is a plain jane Scruggs with lots of magic too. Also have a Bluegrass and PFD with varying degrees of magic... Yes, I keep looking too. I have a Zylr and a John Davis ordered. :p

your not from indiana are you? Just played someone recently that referred to their mid 80's joss as their right hand.

I had 2 perfect cues and sold them both for a LOT more than I got them for....now regretting it!

Both were Black Boars, 1 rosewood (which someone in Philly might have) the other a Black Boar....went to the same people!!!!!!!! both cues came from the same lot sold to the room I worked in.

I was stupid to sell them this I now know...what can you do?

I've been trying to duplicate the hit of those 2 cues for 15 years.

funny thing is, my 2 highest 14.1 runs came using a $50 cuetec jump break:)

I keep going between 3 cues, Bender, Diveney & Prewitt and I keep going back to my Diveney but all 3 cues play great, I can't make up my mind. So I have all 3 cues in a 3x6 case and that's what I carry with me, if one's not working for me, then one of the others will, but I keep going back to my Diveney though.

I really hate to compare cue-makers, but Black Boars are so highly respected that I doubt I can insult anyone with this. I played with an old Black Boar and I thought that Chris Hightower's cues played similar. I also recently played with a McDaniel and it reminded me of the Black Boar as well. I could be all washed up, as it's been a while since I hit with the Black Boar, but couldn't hurt to try if you ge the chance to hit with one.

I love the way my Gilbert JB plays!!!!!!!!

I first played with a Gilbert back in 2004, it was a friend of mines and it was like Xanadu!!!!!!!!!! Thats how I knew i needed to have one.

Well finally almost 3 yrs later I finally had the money to buy me a Gilbert JB and I did and havent looked back. And this is after going through a Schon, Meucci Original block letter ones, 2 Espiritu's, a BHQ custom, and a Zim's custom.
