OK, I have a pool cue I love, I have tried to find a cue I would like just as much and after trying more cues than I can count I can't find one I like as much, so, I want to have another cue built that looks different but feels the same, if I send the cue I own that I want copied to a cue maker can they make if feel the exact same?? Let me know what you think. thanks, Nate.

I doubt it personally, from what I have learned by hands on experience building conversion cues. Now, I assemble every single cue using the same techniques and I hold the exact same tolerences at all internal connections, and even at the cue joint. In addition I use the same type of adhesives time after time at the same locations, but even with that said for some reason not all my cues hit exactly the same. In my opinion all my cues hit pretty well, but every once in a while one of my cues has that special hit that is uniquely different, in feel.

This is certainly a factor that everyone who makes cues experiences, and I totally beleive it always be the case.

Good Luck with your search!!!!!

Anyone that tells you they can is LYING! It is not possible! Manwon worded it about as good as you can.

Here is a good example:
In the past I have built exact matching cues. Using the same woods, out of the same peices also. The exact same everything in the 2 cues. They both hit really good, they also hit close to the same. But not exact!

Good luck with your search. I am sure that you will hear a lot of builders telling you the same thing! One more thing I will say is, all of my cues play real close in feel. But no 2 hit exactley the same.

Every piece of wood hits slightly different, so the odds of getting a cue that hits even 98% the same is very low. So just play with what you already have since there can never be another one made that will be exactly the same. My guess is that someone could build one similar and get you a similar feel and you would be happy with it after adjusting to it. If you want your cue fancier looking consider having some inlays added to your existing cue.

OK, thanks everyone, I will have another built to the same specs and see what I think, I like plain cues, hustler style or sneaky petes, I just want it to feel the same as a starting point, I think I can adjust to the feel of the hit as I know that the there are to many variables to have it have the same hit. thanks, Nate.
