He is the Best!!!!!!!!

He's been getting a lot of press lately -- pool and mainstream -- which is great for our industry. I like him too.

He reminds me of Merlin on the Amish Mafia. Name fits. ;)

he tries to hard...

I don't know I think he tries too hard to avoid touching her with his balls. ..

Ha, ha! He does!

I agree he's great for pool. The average viewer loves trick shots, and his stuff is so fresh and inventive. Far beyond the set up trick shots that made me yawn as a kid

Truly Amazing ! I have been playing pool for years and still can't believe how he makes the ball due what it does Outstanding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Girl is an amazing distraction from yet another amazing display of trick shot artistry.
very entertaining
thanks

I know it's the stroke but I notice the cue has a carbon fiber ferulle which you can see at 1:17 just before the hottie appears. Could that have anything to do with the spin he gets??

Maybe it's just me

I don't know I have zero appreciation for that kind of thing. I've been playing 30 years and 3 ball jump with 3 cues over a triangle and scratch into the same pocket has never come up for me.

I realize that these things take a lot of skill and dedication but something makes me think I can give him the 7. Now before somebody tells me how well such and such plays and how Mike Massey was a great player....I get it but in the end something has to give. You either put in the table time to make balls, position and such or you do "tricks".

The cue is a purpose built as a masse cue and the entire shaft is composite. Probably has a phenolic tip. I remember when Mezz introduced this cue for him, but I don't recall how many were made or a price.

A close up photo I saw somewhere shows he is using a Kamui Clear. Makes sense since he is sponsored by Kamui.

I've only seen that Mezz cue for sale in the UK, and the price was around £1100 (about $1800 USD). It appears to be a special order item. It has a cocobolo and composite butt and a short Kevlar hybrid shaft, total length is 46.5" and comes in weights between 22 and 24oz, so nowhere near 50oz. The tip supplied from the factory on an $1800 cue is an Elkmaster.

I know by the look and weave of the cloth in the shaft that it is a relatively inexpensive Kevlar/Carbon fiber that is used a lot in the composite canoe and kayak industry. If they wanted to achieve stiffness plus high strength, they could have chosen a uni-directional carbon fiber cloth with S-glass added for hoop strength. This is more expensive and a lot harder to lay up than the cloth used in the Mezz, but the distinctive look of that herringbone weave in their cue gives it an eye-catching appearance that surely adds to the marketability of the cue and probably doesn't affect the function all that much.
