head stock

taig head stock

Im trying to put together a cheap repair lathe and i need a head stock with 3 or 4 centering jaws.
 
i am ugradeing to apass thru i will sell my taig 3 jaw for 50.00 it is in good shape iget paid next thursday let me know if you want it i have good used motor also doug

It would still help to state which lathe you are basing it on, such as building on a twig lathe bed, etc. All the measurements are different based on the size of the throughhole, etc. Basic Taig for pool has around a 15mm throughhole while some guys offer up to 1.4" throughhole, etc.
TSP&B on here has some economical stuff as does Customcuelathes (Basel)

A basic 15mm taig headstock. Just need something to hold the end of a shaft for tip work thats all. The rest im building out of wood with a couple bearings.

Just do a Google search and go to TAIGS website and buy one....

Being new here you may not have read the rules..YOU CAN ONLY BUMP OR REPLY TO YOUR THREAD once in a 48 hour period of time...each time you comment on this thread it pushes others ( threads) farther from the front page for no practical reason....

So i cant reply to someone who has replied to my post till after 48hrs?
I know i can buy from taig or carter tools but i was looking to save some money and buy used. Sorry for breaking the rules and thanks for the heads up.

Its nice to see you posting on AZ Doug! For thoughts of you not familiar with Doug he is quickly becoming a great cue maker.He has a big following in Indiana and east central Illinois.
