I am heading out to Cherokee N.C to spend a few days in the Smoky Mountains with my lovely wife. Gonna catch Delbert McClinton Saturday night at the casino. Not that anybody really gives a sheet.
I also just landed a better job than the one I lost 4 months ago. Shucks, there goes my long overdue extended vacation. I have been working since 1960.
I hope somebody will tell Hal that the same wind that blew the door shut on his last job is going to blow another door open to a better one. You got to keep the faith baby. Ask the Big Guy to guide you and then start thanking him. Sometimes not doing anything at all is the best thing to do!!!! I put my resume on the net and landed a job paying the same with better benefits just 15 minutes from my house. Go figure guys. The Lord works in mysterious ways.
If I can find a comp. in my travels I will check in with all my Az friends and the few non playing dorks I have meet. You know who you are !:D
I ain't talking about my friend Jeeves either. He can make 3 balls in a row.

I am very happy to hear you found a job, especially one that sounds like it is better all around. I changed jobs 3 years ago and am so happy where I work now. Sure hope you have a grand time on your vacation, will make it all the better knowing you are coming home to a new job too.

Don. Congrats on the new job. I went through a similar experience, and am now working at the best job I have had in over a dozen years...all because some little jerk of a sales manager didn't think I was cut out to sell cars. Turned out to be the best thing he could have done. (He's still a little jerk, but he got fired a month after he let me go....Karma!)

Enjoy Cherokee! We went camping up there two years ago. Had a great time, and managed to leave a little bit of cash at the casino. The NC mountains are great this time of year.

Enjoy Cherokee and if you get a chance check out Maggie Valley as well. My buddy Aaron has a pool room close to where you will be staying if you get to jonesing for a game. His place is the Crooked Cue in Waynesville and it's just a hop, skip, and a jump from Cherokee. I hope you enjoy your vacation.

I spent the night in Bristol, Va. On the border and will be in Cherokee in about two hours.
About the job, I have always found a better one than the ones I have left all my life. I got a little glimse of what it is going to be like in 5 or 6 years when I retire for good. SWEET man.

Congrats on the new job, sorry you have to re-join the rest of us suckers again!
