Bump...and sports cards. Bump...literally hundreds of cues in this auction...everything from AE to Viper...and everything in between.

Nobody checked this out?

Questions

How do you view the pictures or listing of cues? I went to the site but can't find them. Can you post a direct link to the list or more importantly the pictures.

Thanks

Kevin

Million Dollar Collection

300 "multi-thousand" dollar cues

Somebody must have left a million dollar cue collection.
Any guess on what the real deal is?

Looking at the pics of the cues, I saw mostly production and import cues. There were a couple Filipino cues in there as well from Audrick and others. A few custom makers like Parrot, Jacoby, and DP. I think the ammunitiona and some of the guns will have no problem finding homes. Nice old broomhandle Mauser and a P-08 Luger with matching numbers. A lot of older engraved shotguns and a Mark 5 Weatherby or 2. Definitely not what I would call a valuable cue collection.

This guy was said to be a pro level player & from the looks of it was a high end gun nut,cue nut, furnshings nut & all around collecting nut. Just got a call from a friend who is there & he said the cues are probley the cheapest thing the guy had(should just take the 15 min, ride & go look), , does the name ernie keewsan ring a bell to any of the ole timers(last name may be spelled wrong)he was killed in an auto wreck & this is his stuff & is the 3rd auction for it,thats how much s t u f f he had. Hey kevin, tony long is playing eddie aberham next weekend @ tophat, hope you get down this way to watch so i can meet you, Manny,Mcreash & brandon shuff are usualy there for the tourny. OH, & by the way, this is going to be an online auction only so get them credit cards out boys.

There are a lot of production cues, but definitely some notable customs in there. There are a few I would definitely try to pick up if I were on the East Coast. The auction page lists that it is only a partial listing, then that means there are more than what they have shown.

Stay Away!!!!!!!

Don't you Pa & south Jersey guys come down to Md. and drive the Prices UP. I've IDed a couple of cues to add to my group. I'm a cue lover, not a resellertherefore what I buy is for me, not totry to make a buck. I've given a couple of low end cues(ebay DP, a Viking) to family members. Don't get me wrong,I'm notputting youbusiness guys down, cause if it wasn't for you where would I get the 70's cues I love (pre CNC mass production). Please stay home and Let a poor boy from the getto have a lucky cue day. Gooid hunting to you all, outside of Maryland on the 9th.

There are some def nice cues i would like to have and keep as a little collection but I wouldnt mind buying a couple of the production cues cheap and selling them to locals that cant afford a decent cue.Just call me the Robin Hood of pool. LOL

So, did anybody go? What did you get? Heard someone got stuck with one of those Sly/Searing 'S' cues:eek:

someone who went!

I went and it seemed to be more resellers than collectors. They sold some of those dealer type cases ( holds maybe 20cues,40 shafts) and 1 guy purchased 5 0f them and he filled 3with cue that nite. they were cue purchased for $ 100.00-$200.00(production cues ,McDerm., Viking, Mali, etc.) that maybe on Ebay shortly. The buy of the nite may have been by a nice young guy from north Jersey,a Ariel Carmeli cue with a Ivory points and listed as unsigned and unknown for $375.00. It was a odd selling cycle as some cues sold for $200.00-$300.00 range early and the same types sold toward the end of the evening for $60.00. At the end of the auction butts were selling up to $150.00 ( Frey & Sly without shafts). I got a Jerry Rauenzahn 6 points with 27 Ivory inlays and 2 shafts for $350.00. I got the Richard Black 1981 for $700.00 (more than I wanted to pay, but I got in a bidding war with another guy and it's a Richard Black that I plan to keep not resell). All in all it was a interesting nite.
