Please help ID the cue or even just the blank. I was told it is over thirty years old.

Unknown Cue-Doubtful Huebler

As a Huebler collector, although the butt resembles Pauls style, (Blocks) this cue appears to be more of a Burton Spain look to me. Nothing, not even the rings at each side of the checkerboard or the size and color of the veneers are anything at all similar to Hueblers. The cue does appear to be approx 25-35. years old styling and I really like it. The list of possible builders is a short one.

Hi Troy,

I think what you have here is a Stanley West #5 cue. The rings are a little different than the catalog model, but I actually had one that could have been a twin for yours, complete with the "I" ringwork. Stanley Wests were designed by the Joba Company in the Netherlands, and were produced for them by Adam/Helmstetter. They're great cues and came in a range of prices and quality levels. They are almost never seen anywhere other than in Europe.

Happy Superbowl Sunday!

Steve
