Hello all! Newbie alert!!!

Howdy everyone! Been lurking a bit and waiting for the privilege to post. So far I have found a wealth of information and imagine the there is a great deal more to find. Sounds like this is the forum I have been looking for! I apologize now if I break any unwritten rules, I guess I'll be a newbie for another 1000 posts or so!

A bit about myself - I'm no pro but do have a passion for pool. I love one-pocket and straight pool, though it has been awhile since I have played both. I worked in a pool hall during college to help finance the operation (college) but since getting married, starting a career, and having a child, I lost my way and am just now getting back into the game I love. With that in mind, there will probably be a blast of questions coming from me (a good bit have already been answered through the search) so if you have the time, feel free to answer, if not no grudges! Thanks and i look forward to hearing from you all!

Ah hell...it's been almost 9 years now! I can barely remember the name of the pool hall ath this point! It was actually called Stix and Stones in Athens, Ohio. We never saw any greats (except grady matthews) and some regional road players, but I can assure you every friday night generated some kind of story. I'd say my most memorable night, actualy it was an all nighter, was racking for a couple of guys playing 14.1 and getting a $1000 tip! Of course the guy that won got $20,000! But whose counting!
