Hello Azer’s

I’m coming in from the cold, no more lurking for me. My name is Tony Kamadulski and I am a poolaholic. It all started back in south St. Louis when I was 12 (51 now days) and the Salvation Army community center put in a few tables. My friends and I only had to negotiate a train trestle over the River Des Pares. The trestle is maybe 300 feet long and 50 feet high and the type where you could look straight down between the ties to the river below. We were all petrified. We looked up the track as far as an engine that sat idling. We waited and waited until we were all convinced the train wasn’t coming. To afraid to cross walking we all got down in a crouched position while holding onto a rail and began our way across. Once we hit the mid point our confidence rose a bit and a couple of us got up to walk the rest of the way. Just then the engine ahead of us blows his whistle. Well three of us scurried to pool side and two went home to change their shorts (for real). The train never moved. The three of us crossed that trestle many times after that before something new caught our attention. I managed to eventually get a table in 2003 (AE Schmidt 9ft. Cardinal).
I want to thank all of the posters for the help and pure entertainment I find here. Concepts like SPF, CTE, keep head straight, pre-shot routine have dramatically improved my game. I’ve played leagues and tourneys and just love to shoot. Not much of a gambler but don’t mind cheap sets now and then. I live in Auburn, WA. Which is between Tacoma and Seattle.
That’s pretty much it for now. I do have a movie I recently made to share (its NPR) that I think will show you the kind of person I am in the 3 minutes it runs. It was inspired from my most recent lay off. I hope you enjoy

Welcome Tony, it is good to here stories about St. Louis, because that is where I am from also. It is funny you mention the River Des Pares, from what I remember it was mainly a sewer run off that ran through the city. But your story brought back some memories for me, once I did something very similar and it almost get me killed, but that is another story. Tony, I am also located in Washington State, in fact I own a pool room in Lakewood, Washington. If you every get down this way, stop in and have a beer and some pool on me.

Take Care Tony

Yes back then it literally was an open sewer that drained to the Mississippi. As kids we played all through there. Gravios Creek dumps in right there at the trestle. Many of fun days swimming until some semi spilled its load of some kind of acid and killed everything. Will you be around Sat. afternoon? Beer and pool are like lightning and thunder it's hard to have one without the other.

Welcome to the camp, I guess you all know why we're here
My name is Tommy, and I became a where this year.

Welcome

Hi Tony. I also live in the great northwest (in Redmond to be specific). Shoot me a PM if you are looking to play sometime.

Tony - If you ever get get up to the Everett/Marysville area shoot me a PM and let's see if we can arrange a game or two at my place... I have a 9' Diamond Pro Am w/pro cut pockets in my garage. :thumbup2:

But.. fair warning... you're gonna have to spot me a couple of balls as I'm older than you... 60. :groucho:

Tony
Welcome. I was just out there for opening day at Emerald Downs. I shot the Muckles, too (little joke there). Always love Auburn.

Alright, yes I will be sending some pm's. I love it. Dave already wants a spot. Beat me to it. I look forward to few games.

Stikapos, Hi
I heard the fireworks here at home. I'm guesing that was Emerald.

Welcome! I'm fairly new too. I'm from the Federal Way area so not too far from you. My other half and I both like to play cheap sets. :) Feel free to send a PM my way. We typically go to Malarkey's (aka City Lights) in Tacoma on Wednesdays and Fridays, but also play in Auburn.

Hello from Auburn AL(pretty sure there is one in every state, lol). Welcome to the forum. Look forward to reading your future posts. Matt

Hi oopsey,
Going to city lights on friday may be possible for me. Do they still have that 9 ball tourney on friday?

Hey Tkama - They do indeed. Starts at 8pm, big table 9 ball, race to 3 both sides. Draws a decent crowd. Probably about 25-35 players. Wednesday nights are the best there. Always 50+. See you on Friday if you go!
