Hello... Introducing myself

Hey ya'll! Happy New Year!!

I just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Lee. I've recently became interested in Billiards. I have played like 3 or 4 times before in my life but never really got into it until about a week ago. Anyways, I look forward to gaining knowledge on this sport on this forum.

I'm awaiting the delivery of my pool table which should be in this week. Its not the regulation size table but I don't have alot of room in my house either lol so to pass the time and stuff, I've been playing pool on my computer. I thought I would post this small video clip of a cool shot that I did that was totally unexpected. Anyways, have a great day.:)

Why are you jumping instead of just cutting the 15 in the right far corner.  Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the real world

Neat sure....too bad real games are played with something termed "call shot":D

Welcome..and Happy New Year

Shane

Welcome.

I think people do learn something about the game from simulations. In fact, when I played a rudimentary pool game online (not VP) I quickly jumped to intermediate and advance stages, but then got slaughtered by experts who didn't even play real pool.

I have played a hundred different sims..but like all games they have glitches that can be exploited once you have spent enough time playing... not trying to highjack the thread ..but pool games are pretty much a waste...i can draw a ball up and down the table 3 times on a long green shot on the game that game installed on my cpu.. I can only wish to affect the cue that much in real life...:)

Hello Lee, and welcome aboard, I think that you have made a good choice joining this forum.

There is a great deal of information to be gained from the brain trust of individuals who post here.

Lee, remember no question is to simple to ask. Many new members hang back and stay out of the posts, some because they fear that their questions are to simple to ask, and some because of sarcastc responces from other members, but this should never be the case.

If you have questions or concerns about Billiard/Pool related subjects someone will always take the time to answer them.

Last of all Lee, there are always individuals who have different opinions posting on this forum. If someone gives you a sarcastic response to your questions, do not give up, just let it roll off your back and continue to increase your knowledge. Do not allow negative behavior on the part of some members to deter your quest for information and knowledge.

Happy New Year

Saving thread space.

Hijacking this thread for my own introduction XD, haha, anyway been lurking on the forums for a coupla months, finally decided to stop being lazy and make an account. Fairly new player, horribly inconsistent from skipping basics and learning about and applying the effects of english before having solid fundamentals >_>, but all in all fairly new player =). sorry about the hijack XD

Welcome to the forum Lee! I'm from Michigan too, as well as several other posters here! Good luck with your new table. I'd advise you to invest in some practice with your fundamentals, before messing around much with english. Your consistency will be much improved.
