What a pathetic individual the OP must be.........OMG.........he still doesn't get it........and apparently never will......and that
applies to understanding what a buffoon he's become and his woeful explanation of his "special cause".

Show some videos of you running 100 balls in straight pool and not just a rack of 10 ball.........most good players can run
a couple of racks of 9 ball and I'm hardly pro caliber and I can do that. This Azer seems to think he's an elite player......but
not so elite as to be too proud to beg.........."Zero" respect for people that prey on the charity and good intentions of others.

I never said I was a elite player.I said I was one of the best in my area? Show you some videos? Would that get me anywhere with you if I did? No you would probably run your mouth about how I looked doing it. lol

As for who I am I was a up and coming pool player that never had a chance. Meaning never had backers only way backers the ones that sit way back when someone wanted to play. lol I'm one of the best in Myrtle Beach or in South Carolina and yes I know all the great players around the area as the all know me as well.( Brian White, Josh Roberts, Shannon Daulton, Stevie Moore, Jared Mcgee, Scott Rabon a few others I left out) I beat them all sometime or another as they did me the same way.

Someone said earn the money at local tourneys around here. Well i'm not aloud to play in the bc the other players wouldnt play then. I played in the VNEA league and went to Vegas for the international event many times the best I did was 4th in the master division singles. Yes I have won some GSBT tourneys also. Even when they werent handicapped, but thats not the ones I want to play in. I want a chance at the us open or the derby city or some tourneys like that.

I'm not for someone to just donate $20000 only. You could donate $5 up to thousands. I wouldve said 5000 but why not ask for whatever and see what I could get.

Asking for handouts is the hallmark of a pro pool player and therefore you are well on your way. I think you need to hustle more or get a part time job. Pool is a hobby for all but maybe 20 guys in the US. I go to big events but I work my ass off to be able to afford to travel. Sometimes I sleep in my car...gonna play all night anyway.

I do work. I work a full time job. Monday-Friday and sometimes have to work on the weekends on call for work.

Guys yall misunderstanding me I work for a living I'm not a pool hustler that just sits in the bar waiting for my next hustle.

So funny though.. Thanks for your comments... lmao

What gives you the right to talk like that about someone?

If you don't want to donate to his cause, then don't. Posting something like you posted doesn't get you any bonus points from the forum.

Seems like you just want to instigate on the topic where all you had to do was move along to the next post.

I don't think that's quite it. You're asking for quite a leap of faith here. This is a reasonably educated pool and billiard community, I don't mean so much scholastically (though I can't say), but by way of the pool industry, and yet I think I've seen posts from only one member that's ever even heard of you. You may be one of the best in your area, I don't know you, I'm in no position to say you're not. It's just that you don't seem to have any credentials to back up what you're saying. One thing I've noticed is that most players that reach the level that you seem to have reached (AA as stated earlier) all know each other. Would it be at all possible for you secure some of their endorsements. I know when you're seeking employment you usually put together some kind of resume, the "Fund Me" web page is somewhat limited in information. Is there any YouTube video of you playing the pros you mention or photos?.
And before you ask: yes, it would make a difference.

There would seem to be a little leg work to do before you reach your goal. Best to you, I hope you are able to see your dream come to fruition, just remember that thing about success and work and the dictionary (or shit and syphilis, something like that).
Anyways, I really hope Walt Disney is there for you on this one - May all your dreams come true

No sir you are not understanding. I already said it earlier... We all have the same dream as you. The ones that accomplish it are those that put the work in. Save your money until you can afford to follow your dream instead of trying to take the easy way out.

Also, it's unrelated but you laughing at the end of every post is kind of annoying because it makes the whole post seem passive-aggressive.
 
You mentioned you wanted to play at DCC. I suspect you could find a nearby Red Roof Inn for $60 per night, perhaps better if you get the weekly rate. $600. I'm guessing entry fees with rebuys into all 3 events is around $1,200. $35 per day for food and beverage. $300. Driving from Myrtle Beach would be around 625 miles, 1,300 round trip. Say 65 gallons of gas. $250. Total for week = $2,350. That's a far cry from $20,000.

No question, that's a low budget deal but if you want to play that bad, it is what it is. Don't expect to be staying in one of the Suites at the Casino and eating a $125 meal at the Steak House every night. I would think you could play in the US Open for a similar amount. So $5,000 gets you into two big events.

Are you saying, as good as you make yourself out to be, in a year or two, you can't make $5,000 cashing in some local tournaments combined with some modest gambling?

If it is a big enough dream of yours that you would come online and panhandle for donations, seems like you would find a way to come up with $5,000. I guess it is much easier to dream on somebody Else's dime.

Ya see Armwrastle, Bava's North American Native name is, "Talks alot, says nothing".

What the OP doesn't get is that of the younger members here, many have a Family to provide for, now and in the future. Not much different than the situation he is in.

That 20 dollar donation is half a night out for league night or at the hall with the boys.

If the OP is finding himself in a tight spot, married with family, how does he expect others
in possibly much the same situation as himself to feel for him.

Myself, I on the way to the Dr. After the app, I may or may not be retired.

I am a bit older and have a bit put away, but if its a matter of sending the OP $20 or me putting it in tank of the boat, I know where it is going.

As of yet, I haven't heard or seen any redeeming qualities from the OP that would compel me to do otherwise.

Its not as much a pathetic request from the OP as much as it just pure folly.
 
When someone comes looking for a handout....and face it that's what this is......anyone and everyone on the Forum can take a shot at that person....this isn't something listed for sale.......and as far as elite, the OP must have a limited vocabulary because that's exactly what a professional pool player is........Definition: a select part of a group that is superior to the rest in terms of ability or qualities.

And a video would only help to corroborate the OP's skills & abilities which he seems to feel qualify him to try competing on the pro circuit..........it would serve as some objective endorsement why bother if you think you just panhandle your way into getting some free money on the Forum. If someone is sincere in their dream or vocation in life, that person will work hard and earn their way to success and not come begging for a handout so they can give it a fling using your money.

And BHR........be careful out there.......the pavement gods could reach up and touch you ..........so go take a long ride...........often.

I don't care if he can run 200+ balls. I have some disposable income, but if I funded a trip/hotel/entry fee to DCC, it'd be ME playing, not some guy I've never met from Myrtle Beach. :confused:
 
This is the part I actually don't get about most pro level pool players. Many of them complain about not being able to get sponsored but they really aren't willing to even put as much effort into tracking down some sponsorship as us normal people do when we are looking for a job. You know -- like put together a resume. If you don't write all that well go and get some help with it. Make it all nice and professional and show a potential sponsor that you are serious about this. Explain to them what they will get out of it.

Put some effort into it. If you aren't willing to do that -- who is really going to take you seriously?

It's like asking for a job without being willing to even fill out an application, let alone provide an up to date resume.
