Prewitt Titlist Tribute
Silver Member
Guy shows up last night at league play and brings me this cue he just got from an old relative ... wants me to clean up the shaft and tip it. Immediately everyone gathers around to talk about this possible piece of history. The owner of the hall felt it was an original Hoppe cue, missing the name inlay. I and the owner of this cue would appreciate any info including value on this cue. Thanks Much !

I would say a possible schmelke made cue. The only time ive seen that joint was on schmelke cues, but then again im not sure if they made titlst cues. Just a thought.

The cue is an old Brunswick Personal Cue that was made by Schmelke. If the blank is a Brunswick blank (Titlist), it is likely worth about $300-500 depending on condition. If the blank is a Schmelke blank (Titlist tribute) it is worth about 150-300 depending on condition. Your's looks like a tribute! In either case, it is NOT an "original" Willie Hoppe Cue because it was not made by Brunswick.

If it's a "Titlist" there is a handle under the wrap otherwise the points would not be as close to the joint as they are. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I prefer to do "Titlist" conversions that way myself, especially if they're going to have a wrap.
