I bought this cue new when I was in the Army in 1991. Its a Joss and I am looking to find out the model and an approx value of the cue. Cue is in 100% condition with 2 original shafts. I bought this cue and never played with it. All the info on this cue you can give me would be very helpful. I have ben searching some and cant seem to find this particular cue. Thanks everyone for all your help!

Sorry for poor pics, was taken with my wifes phone.

It might be a custom. I have a friend that has a custom made Joss, and it feels and plays nothing like the Joss cues that are made today.

You might try to contact JOSS, and see if they have any records on it.

I saw a Joss cue that was very close the the same design as the one pictured, the points especially.

I remember it.

It was one from their catalog. I was going to buy one similar to it. brand new I believe that it wholesaled for 750 and retailed for 1100.

I don't have the catalogue anymore otherwise I'd be able to tell you the model number and exact stuff. Sorry...

Jaden

Definitely from the Special upper end series. Pro Series? It's for sure in the catalog.

That's one of the nicest looking Joss' I've ever seen. Most of the Joss designs, I just don't 'get'.

Yes, this was an upper end cue...I got it out of the cataloug and it retailed for 1100 as Jaden said....all the white is Ivory....when I bought this cue, once I looked at it, it was just 2 pretty to play with, so I ordered a Joss West and played with that cue....this cue has never even been chalked or test hit.

I'm pulling this straight out of my ass.....

If memory serves me, which considering that it's been 14 years since I looked at the catalogue I could be wrong but I believe that it was a JT-9. but like I said I'm pulling that out of my ass. I could be wrong and probably am.

Jaden.

p.s. I had really wanted the cue at the time, and it's still a great looking cue.

I'm guessing it's worth VERY little today, so we can meet at the DCC and I'll take it off your hands for you (I'll even buy lunch). :)

that'd get you one heck of a lunch. Let's see $200 + Taco Bell & even a double scoop at Baskin Robbins (Whitey's, or whatever ice cream joint is there)....works for me. I would have to limit you to 11 items from the TB menu though - I do have my limitations.

I have emailed Joss (Dan Janes) about this cue...so hopefully I will hear from them in the next cpl of days. Hopefully will find somehthing out on this cue.

or if anyone has any ideas on this model....let me know....

Had alot of help so far and I appreciate that. But still dont have any idea what Model # and basic specs on this cue. Still waiting to hear from Joss....anyone know how timely they are on responding to inquiries?

as far as emails go...not so good. You might want to try calling, and letting them know there's an email w/pics to help identify a cue. Good luck, and the Taco Bell offer stands :)

I didnt think emails would be so good...I emailed them about a week ago to get some info..and nothing as of yet..was trying to give this forum a shot also...

havnt really had any for sure replies as to what model number this cue is..so going to give it one more bump before I let it fall off the board....Contacted joss but no reply as of yet...been a week.....I will probably call them tomorrow or friday..

Ususally Joss replies quickly. I had a situation similar to yours and they replied right away. I ended up calling Joss and while I was on the phone I emailed the lady and within 3 days she gave me as much info as possible. I offered the same advise to another AZ member and it worked for him. I would say give Joss another shot.
