Help Identify This Cue?

Can anybody help identify the maker of this cue? It was bought as part of a 3 cue package deal from a woman after her late husband had passed. Overall, great hitting cue, but killing me that I can't seem to pinpoint the cue maker.

Nobody? Not even a "looks like yadda yadda" i came to az because ive almost never seen this community unable to answer a question and for the most part has always steered me clear.

Don't tell me I got you guys stumped with this one. (I mean obviously i am as well but well forget about that for the time being)

I'll usually take a stab at almost any...but I really don't know this one.

Can we see under the bumper? Maybe that will inspire some thoughts.

By the way: My first impression was of the Viscotti/Quest/Lucassi branded cues.

That wrap looks pretty shot, I would take it off and see if there are any identifying marks underneath. I also agree the bumper might give some info as well. Is the joint pin 5/16-18?

Jerry Olivier comes to mind. I had one with the same points years ago.

Those appear to be actual short splice points with a half round inlay cut in at the base. Possibly an ABear, woodworth or maybe even an old kikel.

That ringwork reminds me of an old Ernie Martinez cue I had that he made when he was with Showcase cues. I believe he only used 5/16-14 pins. That one is a 5/16-18.

Indeed it is an 18 pin.

That ring work can be seen on numerous cues though.

Here is one similar example:

I know that ringwork has been used for a long time, but with the brown phenolic especially in the butt section, it looks strikingly similar to the Martinez I owned.

The brown does narrow it down more, I agree.
