Appreciate the feedback. I was thinking Viking as well but didn’t see a logo, of course it may have had the butt cap replaced.
Any ideas on roughly what year and series it would have come from?

Well, looking for some more input. Now that I have the cue and taking a good look at it, I am thinking it’s may not be a Viking. I absolutely could be wrong but wanted to post some better pics so I could give everyone a better look to determine what it is. The veneers looks possibly partial painted however they do appear to continue into the leather wrap area. Maybe this is the way it would look anyway but leaves me scratching my head.
The shaft insert also is different from one to the other. The bumper was glued on and it looks like the insert part tore off and they glued they flat portion on to the butt cap.
Not sure if it is maybe an older Adams or something to that effect but appreciate any help.

Viking definitely.
It appears to have Wico plastic veneers. Bright colors and no grain.

Maybe it is a Gandy? Although I do not know if Gandy used Wilco points.

*edit* What’s throwing me off is that pin. Vikings had brass pin/brass sleeve into shaft until the 90’s. That cue looks like one of the millennium editions which was late 90’s. But at the same time looks older. My 2000-2002 Viking has the newer style weighting. I thought that was a screw in butt initially, but it looks like Viking weight system on zoom in.

I might be able to get more down to it for you because right around 98’/99’ I had joint on my 83’ replaced with full threaded metal pin. They already had started quick connect at time and no longer had brass so it’s metal. Quick connect shaft won’t fit it. I asked for it to be full threaded. Off the top of my head the pin on mine doesn’t have a non threaded tip on it like yours there. I’m almost positive threaded whole way. Maybe that isn’t a Viking.

Check shaft taper. Pretty sure if that is pre millennium Viking will have 8-10” taper not 12-14”

That would be a dead give away if it does. One of those shafts is for sure not a Viking though the ring is too high

Here’s newer version of that stick. Vikings catalog archives haven’t been working for me. They like to reinvent their old styles sometimes

whatever, its a cheap cue not in the best of shape. better than a china import though and might even hit okay.

Aluminum insert points to Gandy/National which both Ricco Cervantes and Helmstetter worked at, at least National.

Looks like an HC-150 by Gandy.

Appreciate the help everyone, thanks PDX for finding the specific one!
Any idea on what time frame that was?
