I didn't like target pool. I think it would be much better if it were a triangular area instead of a dartboard shape. I think that knowing the 'comfort zone' for shape is a ton better than trying to get yourself to a 'bullseye'.
What the bullseye teaches is that you should feel bad about yourself if you miss 'perfect' shape by a couple of inches. You should be playing shape that allows you to easily make the object ball and get on the next ball in good position.
BTW, CocoboloCowboy, that is a nice diagram for the cue ball, but it has little to do with what ctyhntr inquiring about--much more useful, tho.
