I picked this up today and cannot find any markings on it whatsoever. It has red and black irish linen wrap, not sure on thread size on joint. Would like to know if any one can tell me what it is.

Looks like a Rich Q.....not made by Abe Rich but the RICH Q company. I could definately be wrong tho on who made it.

Don't quote me on it tho, anyone else out there got any good ideas?

looks like kindlin to me, but i'm no expert. all i know is i would'nt pay $2 for it.

I have to agree with you completely, but I would be very careful burning it. God only knows what was used for finish, and some of the older Asian plastic's like that used in this cue are Toxic!!!!!:)

tell you what if you like the way it plays (shaft looks nice by the way) I could clean it up for you. Put an antique white linen wrap on it and clean the butt and shaft with a new ferrule, i think that cue would and definitely could look very nice despite what others think or say...guarantee Mr. $2 will crap his pants once cleaned/refinished. Hit me up with a PM if your interested...cue has potential and my work is very affordable.

nice buy for $6

best wishes,
Grey Ghost

Hey Dude don't piss me off, or you may find my girls climbing up the side of the Oil Rig you work on:eek:, they are currently vacationing on South Padre Island, it would take them no time to walk out to your Rig and climb up to visit you!!!!!!!:)

Oh and by the way, they own my Dog's brother and he don't like anyone mess-in with his family!!!

Now talk about Nightmares!!!!

Looks like the wrap got wet and the wood around it is rotting. Hope you used gloves when touching it.

The cue is pretty scarry, but your desk is more so

Cigs, Mt. Dew and pills. Our new new health care overloards would not like you one little bit, not at all. You will probably be deported to Mexico or Canada soon.

Given the shade of red (scarlet), This cue was made by the Romans or possibly Spartans. I am guessing Spartan because this was not originally a pool cue. These were presented to Hannibal for two purposes: 1. For use as an elephant prod and the thin end was used to pick up elephant dung. Sparta did not want their lands filled will elephant poo. During the war, the Romans confiscated these items and used them to poke the people they were torturing to ensure they were still alive.

Over time these were found by Napoleonic archeologists and the decided to use these as pool cues. Turns out the elephant poo naturally preserved the wood.

That's all I can tell from pics.

Happy to help.

PS. CLEAN YOUR DESK!

Mountain Dew, cigarettes and two pill bottles on your desk! You and i would get along just fine because I'm thinking that just out of camera range there is a bottle of whiskey.

Looks like it might be a Rich or maybe an early Adam. I'd get that wrap off and see what it looks like underneath as soon as possible, looks like it might be rotting, like someone above said.
