Help me pick a linen color

Another spin on things, I was lucky and got one of embossed brown leather wraps from Wild West. I'll be waiting for that to arrive before I send for refinishing. How do you think that would look?

brown or black, as long as there's no green. also be aware that brown wrap will isolate all the ebony, making the ebony look scattered and make the points look like they're floating,,,whereas black will unite all the ebony elements

you might be better off with black leather. the green is soooo subtle that you should keep everything on the cue as simple as possible. black leather(i would use smooth glove leather) is as simple as you can get....the black/white speck linen that you have now is "busy". a nice smooth black leather with a nice leather sheen would blend nicely with the entire cue and the green veneer might stand out better.

I'm with the bruin on this. You might want to use a very lightly textured leather if you don't like the feel of smooth. Some people don't.

I originally thought you were looking for color suggestions for table cloth. Sorry for the earlier
confusing reply. I also at the time, just happen to think of the board member who was "run off"
by a few members...

Black lizard...

that would look great. Nice looking cue BTW. I really don't like linen anymore...much prefer leather. Looks and feels (and plays) better...IMO.

Post pics when it's done.

Solid black linen. It has classic looks, and feels better & wears better than leather.

go leather

I agree with Bruin. Leather will really dress up any cue and Schon does as good of a leather wrap as I have seen. Check out what it did for mine...

How do you figure linen looks classier than leather? Also, it doesnt feel or wear better than leather either. That is simply your opinion and you are certainly entitled to it...linen vs. leather is a matter of preference and I'll never go back to linen again

I decided to go with the black embossed alligator wrap. Ryan of Rat cues currently has the cue and will be doing the refinishing and also installing the wrap. I want to say thanks to Wild west for the wrap. The black leather wrap really brings out the colors of cue, which is what I was after. I'll post pics once I recieve the cue back. Thanks for all the help!

I have white w/brown spec on my Schon, it really sets off the brown colors. You can't lose by going with either white with green or white with brown.
