When first installed Sniper tips are soft. They play fairly hard once they are broke in however. How long have you been playing with it? Use it for a few hours before you make up your mind. You may be in for a pleasant surprise.

There is a carbon fiber backing pad on the OB1 shaft. Be careful that it doesn't get messed up when tips get changed.

I usually play with an Everest, but couldn't find my last one when I need a tip change last week. I like a soft tip and play with a lot of spin, and the Everest really grips the ball well. The Sniper is just a little harder, but still only a medium IMO. I don't mind the hit, but it doesn't grip as well as the Everest, and I have found myself miscueing frequently. Because of this I'll cut it off as soon as I can find my last Everest.

If you like "a good hard tip" then I wouldn't think a Sniper would be hard enough for you.

Hello.

Your first choice if you decide to change the tip should be the tip you liked on your prior shaft. Even though the shaft construction is different, that is the best starting place to get the feel back that you were accustomed to and liked.
