I had agreed on a purchasing price with someone from here. I promptly sent the paypal amount the email address in which he gave me for the amount we agreed upon. I had bought a cue previously so I thought everything would be ok. I waited several days and instead of a tracking number I received a refund to my paypal. He does not respond to me regarding why I am not getting my cue. I do not wish to name any names at this point though because I am not a vindictive person. I am wondering though if I have a legitimate gripe because I was looking forward to cue for the price we agreed upon and I paid. Should I just let this go or report itrader as I feel this was not a positive experience. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as to the proper etiquette in this situation. Thank you in advance to all who offer advice.

Umm, you got a refund, what's the problem? If he won't answer you, maybe the cue got sold or otherwise isn't in salable condition. You didn't actually trade anything, as you got your cash back. Would you leave a negative iTrader if someone refused an offer?

I would if a price has been agreed upon and payment was requested by the seller. Pretty f$&&ed up to make a couple extra bucks.

He did not refuse an offer. We agreed upon a price on the phone and he said to send him the money. to his email address. I sent the money and then he did not send me the cue and waited to refund. That is my concern is that we made a deal and I sent the money and he chose to refund the money instead of giving me the cue.

Well IMO since your not out anything, i'd say let it go and move on.. No need in wasting your time arguing over what sounds like an indian giver... Maybe he got last minute cold feet and didn't want to sell anymore, who knows...

I think this should be treated like it never happened based on the refund.
There are many deals on AZ that fizzle out, no big deal.

Hey, I've got a lot of cues to sell.
What kind of cues was it?
Now that you're all pumped-up with the refund and all, we should talk>>

Seems like he was just rude but probably found a buyer for more money and did not want to look like a jerk by backing out of an agreement and chose silence rather than explain things.

Since you got your money back, it's not really an issue aside from the seller being an ass by A. backing out of a deal and B. not giving a reason

ABSOLUTELY....
" I'm GLAD For the refund
Life's too short

I think the seller at least owes you an explanation as to why he backed out of the deal that he agreed to. And there's no denying he agreed to it since you had his paypal info and made payment.

Basically, you got stroudled. :frown:

best,

The seller promptly contacted me and we discussed the situation. There was miscommunication and everything was promptly resolved. I appreciate everyones input. I am very pleased now. Thank you everyone again.

Let it slide. You got a refund so you didn't lose anything. No use starting trouble over it.

It wasn't a loan. There was miscommunication between us. I was called back and everything was handled. The cue will be on its way. I appreciate your interpretation though. I am glad everything was resolved in a positive manner

right, I know ur situation wasn't a load and im glad u got it worked out but ive seen in other forums people do this(not saying this situation was) and its called a payday loan. u give them th money, they pay a bill that's about to be cut off and in two days instead of sending ur cue out thy refund ur mney after they got paid. just sayin.....theres situations where you might be getting used and not realize it. if someone tells me a price and I pay them I better be getting a cue in the mail. lifes too short to not get to look forward to the new cue sittin on ur porch in the usps box when u get home from work:smile:

I agree with flowerpower2016 100%. It does not apply to the above case do to a misunderstanding, but if you agree to a deal and the item is not defective and payment has been received, it needs to be shipped as agreed. Not sure why anyone would let this slide, as a buyer I want to know if people are pulling crap like that, otherwise what good is a I-trader rating.

The one thing I noticed right off , there is a place in the Avitar for LOCATION , I have been BURNED several times with finding out after the deal is made I find the guy lives in another continent and the shipping blows the deal right out of the water .

Why would you not put a location in the Avitar . Don't need a address but at least a Country . Jim
