Help sponsor Larry Nevel at the DCC - $100 per share

For $TAKEHOR$E, since he was too lazy to find this. Here is where we are at. Also, I have not talked to Larry and honestly don't know personally him except by seeing him around tournaments over the years but have never heard one bad thing about him except that he has a temper (if that is bad). I know he plays great and is a favorite to win ANY tournament he is in.

Ok - I will be at the DCC on Friday the 22nd to hand Larry over the funds.
(please read the bold here to answer a question from one of the members)

$100 a share - you can buy more than one share. 20 shares total. If we don't sell this out by Saturday, then it will be a no go. Should be able to tell real soon if there is enough interest.

PAYPAL payment only. I will give everyone my paypal once we get 20 shares sold.

UPDATED LIST - with new ins and old outs

1. Watchez
2. Saturated Fats
3. Derek Disco
4. xianmacx
5. MahnaMahna
6. junkbond
7. Mark & Sunny Griffin
8. Blowfish
9. 12squared
10. jtompilot
11. ragbug74

Sorry, I didn't know you did not play in the tourneys. I just checked the money. You play great so no offense was meant. I just meant the only way to net $1,900 is to finish top 6 in one of the fields or 12th or better in all of them. A $1,900 free roll is not a bad one.

none taken i just wanted you to see.
if i sold 50 per then i would force myself to play hard in all the tourneys.
thats just the way i roll.

It' not that tough

It's not like this is a high pressure deal here, Larry made a offer and said if interested to contact him. If you think it might be a good idea then send him a email or buy the $100.00 share, if not move on. I never really post but my 2 cents is RELAX people.

Shane played Bustamante last year and I am pretty sure Shane has 5k and yet I am pretty sure he was staked in that game.

If I was going I would do it for sure just to root for someone, but can't make it this year.

Good luck Larry.

Can someone post the payouts from last year in each discipline as well as the all around? Thanks, mkayyyyyy.

How the hell did you think this was at all pointed or related to you? You can just fvck right off douche bag, I don't care about your tournament winnings, how you do in gambling, or if you slip right back into the hole you crawled out of.

Please explain to me how the post that you quoted from me has absolutely anything to do with you and your tournament wins?

Talk to you soon my little one trick pony.....

Oh my god wow! I never thought for once this was pointed at me. I just remember you posting something about me (close to thewritten above) that was so retarded. And then I see people insulting larry for posting this (which is unreal). Point is you don't seem too sharp. One trick pony? Wanna put some one in a tenball game with me? Or poker?

I am looking for a sponsor to play Donny some poker. $1900 should do it. Thanks.

I think the main thorn in this thread is the fact that people thought they were helping out a player who was a little short and needed the money to play.

Alot of people on AZB are cool like that they understand that this sport can make it hard on the players at times, Robley was an example of a player who actually needed the money to play in a tournament, and AZB came together and got him a chance he otherwise would not have. This forum has also helped a player of the WPBA who actually needed the money to get to and play in the world championships. That is true sponsorship, not gambling propositions.

I think some people were under the impression that Larry might be a little short and needed money to get to the DCC and compete, and many of those members saw it not only as a chance to win abit of cash, but as helping a guy out.

When the story came out that Larry did not actually need the money and it is instead a gambling proposition the impetus changes for some people and they might feel a little duped. They were trying to help a guy out as much as get themselves a share in a decent gambling proposition.

I think a player does need to be clear about these things. This forum is a great resourse for players who need a helping hand in a sport that can sometimes make it hard to make ends meet. AZB people understand that and they have shown themselves as willing to help out in those cases. But I would never want to see that generosity taken advantage of because if that happens a few times it may hurt those who are really in need in the future. it is very clear that Jay was donating the money for a different reason then it became evident that the money was asked for.

A player needs to be clear about these things and distinguish between "Can you help me, I am short and need money to be able to play in the DCC this year" or "heya, I am going to the DCC this year, I have a gambling proposition for people for people to buy a stake and have a chance at a decent return on what I win this year". There was a definate impression that the former was the situation initially proposed, not the latter.

I think Celtic has nailed it with this. Had Larry stated up front that he was just offering a gamble, I would have had no interest, but I'm always (well, maybe not always) willing to help a well-qualified player get to an event. As it is, I am having to rethinkmy participation in this venture.

I don't think Larry intentionally meant to mislead anyone, but that he simply used a bad description of the offer. I don't know Larry, but have heard him described as a stand-up guy, and have no reason to not believe that. In any case, I wish him luck at the DCC.

lol - you are lazy

Larry's cashes -

1P - $ 275
9ball - $ 550

yes, very happy. Actually I already clicked on the links and did that. Sounds like a good deal for somebody. If I was going then I'd probably take the remaining shares to be honest.
