You can't rely on what the current price of this cue is from Richard Black unless he also stated that he's taking a couple orders a month for this very same cue.
This would better reflect the true market demand and it's only the market demand that determines the price of anything. That's why you see Rolex watches and
Omega and Breitling and Patek swatches selling for less than what the same watch ordered new would be.....it's always supply and..........wait for it....."demand".
See what others have to say but don't be startled if the answers reflect only a percentage of what the cue would cost new. The best expert around, bar none, on
Richard Black pool cues and who just happens to have the largest collection of Richard Black cues anywhere on his website (
www.cornerstonecues.com) is Bill
Grassley. He can provide you with an expert, trustworthy opinion of this cue's value in today's marketplace which still remains weak and the awful truth is most
cues don't command full values anymore. Having said that, when you buy a collectible cue in today's market, i.e., discounted, that cue retains its most of its value
because the price the cue sold for is adjusted for today weak resale market that probably won't go any lower and has a good chance for gain....but that's still a risk.
