Well just got the news, and it is a fake. I have been hanging onto this cue for nine or ten years, unreal. I will probably just have it cut up. The part that blows is I was trying to sell it and maybe one more to give as a donation to cancer research. My brother died of Hodgkins Lymphoma two years ago, and I had been wanting to help out a bit, either to a charity or directly to a family affected by it.
Anyway, thanks for all the replies, and hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone on this board.
Tell you what I'll do. Send me your regular e-mail, name and address to jvan@classiccues.com. As long as your cue is straight, I will swap the cue out for so you can have the auction. I will send you a cue, and case, of my choosing. I will write a letter for the cue that I send you.
My brother also died of lymphoma at 18 in 1993. I'll take care of the refinish and removing the name so it doesn't get passed along.

Wow. What a great thread.
This should be put on the main forum as an example of how great this forum can be.
Again thanks...
BTW the cue is in Steve Kleins shop where it will be refinished and rewrapped. Since the cue is red/white/blue I am having him inlay a MOP star and 4 dots in each point. Above the butt cap will be a ring of stars (8) with red/white and blue veneers top and bottom.

Just a little update, while the shafts were being stripped and sanded, the was a blue marker used to color in a set of the "blue" blocks. They were a yellowish color....
