hercek twins?

imagine that

Interesting that he has it listed in the "Jewelry & Watches" section, in a twenty-four hour auction, so hopefully no pool players will see it.

before anyone jumps to conclusions, the seller has 100% on over 7500 feedbacks!!! that's strong!

it's hard to tell, but if joel's arrows line up with the rings the same all the way around,,,,cornerstone's hercek arrows are closer in line to the ring inlays than the ebay hercek. it's a very tight call.

,,,,OR, it could be that the owner is trying to sell on both venues.

I think you may be misreading the seller's feedbacks. He has had 120 total transactions, from 89 discrete members. He has also only been a member since February 21, 2006. My guess is his account has been hacked.

Read the Q&A section. Sounds like the owner of the account knows that he has been hijacked and is warning people not to bid on the auction.

The pictures in the auction are very good.
Not sure where he may have downloaded the pictures from.
Too bad the auction is a scam.

Scam!

Ebayer told me his site was hijacked. Stated do not bid. If anyone gets the address of the scammer please forward. would like to pay him a visit.

My account was hijacked once, without me knowing it. I received an email with a virus attached to it. Like an idiot, I opened the email and the attachment simply said, "I have your password!" I didn't know quite what to think at the time because my computer continued to work the same as always. A couple of days later, I received a number of emails from potential ebay buyers asking questions about the cars in my listings. ?!
I logged into my ebay account and saw that someone was selling antique cars under my user name, with very low Buy it Now prices. I came close to having a number of physiological responses when I realized what was going on. After cancelling the auctions (luckily no one had won them yet) I contacted ebay security and reported the situation. Apparently, the hijacker had also changed the seller's home email so I would never receive notification that my listings had been successfully started.

According to the ebay contact person, many of the viruses used for this purpose have no effect on the operation of your computer system. They simply read your history and record any passwords you have used recently. I am by no means the brightest bulb in the box, but I am proud to say I am no longer stupid enough to open unidentified attachment either.

At your computer, did you have the option of remember me set so that you were not forced to log in each time you visited e-bay which saves the settings on your computer or did you log in each time?
Just trying to figure out where the information may have been pulled from on the computer...

Hi, Myron.

That was almost three years ago, so I don't recall for sure, but I don't remember having used any kind of "remember me" setting, although I do believe it was an option. Sorry.

so what's the best thing to do for prevention,,,,check my ebay account every so often?

Years ago I once answered one of those emails telling me to update my account and I lost my ebay account. They changed my email address and I stayed on line for hours to chat with a ebay represenaitve who changed everything back for me. Luckily I caught it before they used my account to sell stuff they didn't own and scam people in my name. The best prevention I know of is to delete all emails asking you to click on a link to do anything that has to do with paypal or ebay. Now they are sending them out asking you where their item is. Ignore them all.

so then it all started with you clicking on a suspect email link. i never do that anyway.

btw,,,it's a good idea to never allow html in any emails you receive, and only allow text instead.
