One of my team mates won the Longoni cue valued at $5,200.00 US in vegas. One pro player(which i wont mention)offered him $2,800 for it.Which is about $3350 canadian.the ticket cost him $20.would you sell it?or keep it.It was the best cue i have ever seen.

Personally, I think the offer is light. But, if I didn't really care because it was just fun to buy a ticket and win it, then I might sell it just to be done with it. If your team mate really would like make some money on the cue, then I'd sell it for something around 80% of the value. That way everybody does good on the deal.

I would sell it personally. $2,780 profit sounds good to me.

i am assuming he won the "dedalo" cue. if so then there is no way he should sell it for that kind of money. first of all the cue will be a collectors item in the future and gain value, second is there is a current waiting list for the cue today.

please tell me more tony,so i can tell him more.and yes it was the dedalo,i think.i dont want to sound stupid, but are you the maker, owner of longoni?????

jimmy i am ,unfortunatley, not the owner of Longoni, its just a nickname i got because i am the US authorized dealer of longoni products so i am always carrying around a bunch with me to tournaments and pool halls to sell. there are currently two different dedalo's out there, im not sure which one your friend won- there is a blue dedalo and a green dedalo. the blue has only been produced in small amounts (last count i believe was about 12), the green has only been produced about 4 or 5 times so both cues are very rare. i have personally spoken with Mr. Longoni who has told me that they will not produce very many of these cues before discontinuing them. each one has over 100 inlays and if youve seen it you know that the craftmanship is impecable. many people who have seen this cue regard it as one of the most detailed and beautiful cues ever made. my understanding is that there is a waiting list for both of these cues that will never be filled due to the limited quantity.

Unless pressed for cash I'd hang on to it....It can always be moved later, probably for more (just based on the values given).

Unless he really needs the money right now, there's no way he should sell it for so little. I just looked it up on Longoni's website.

This is the most beautiful cue I've ever seen.

I would think he could get the full value of the cue, and if what Tony Longoni is saying is true, he could probably get a lot more if he holds onto it for a while.

That is the thing - unfortunately - I always need the money :)

Unless it was an emergency, I wouldn't sell it and I think $2800 would be stealing it. I'd keep it, at least for a while. Looks to me like it's gonna be pretty damn rare. Rare enough to keep and NOT play with it. 'Course, that might be hard to do, too;)

I just called him in vegas(he is still there)and left him a message telling him to hold on to it.hopefully he hasnt lost more money than when i left him.lol,i will keep you posted.

Hell. Id probably play with it. Something like that is too beautiful not to. I wouldnt own a Ferrari and then park it and say LOOK!! My Ferrari. But I have been strapped for cash at times and if he is now maybe he should. According to the dealer here if there is a waiting list for that cue then the high school economics/supply and demand/will start to demand lots of cash.

I'd take the $2,800 for that cue in a New York minute! Nice problem your friend has. I'll stop there.

If this is the Cue I certainly would never play with it outside the security of my home table! it looks more like it should be hung on a wall behind glass !
