I've been back playing for over a year after about a 15yr layoff. I have even quit again for a few months in disgust. I just couldn't ever get in stroke. I have played several 500.00 sets and only played so so,and not once feeling like i was getting in stroke. I just started to think coming back at my age was to much to ask until i got to see myself play. I played in a tournament in Deluth last weekend and watched a few matches they streamed a few days after I got home and couldn't believe it. I am moving all over the place,up,sideways every thing you can do wrong i was doing. I use to use the body english as a hustle move for yrs,but never when I was really trying to play. Teachers should use this to show people what not to do. All players have trouble staying down at times but this goes way beyond a little head movement. If you haven't watched yourself play,do it,you might just see many things you can improve on. I would do it under pressure conditions. I now have something to really work on and i'm sure this is why i've been missing many easy shots and staying out of line alot.
