High Run Sticky (Video Only)

Since it looks like we're starting to get the hang of Windows Movie Maker, it'd be cool to have a sticky where people post videos of their high run.

It's cool when people say they ran whatever, it'd be cooler to see it. Not saying I don't believe anyone, but a sticky with video links says a lot more than "I ran 50 today."

Your thoughts?

I like that. I was thinking of something similar a couple of days ago but never mentioned it. What made me think of it was the sticky's at the top of some automotive boards - they'll list the highest horsepower numbers of the members and the fastest 1/4 mile times.

One thing that is helpful on those boards are the details - for instance what is done to the car, what kind of engine it has, etc... I think for a sticky on here it would be nice to know what type of table the run was made on, the balls used, the cue used, and the approximate pocket size..

Time to dust off the camera and put down a number

hmmmm

Lets start with a goal of 42......

Some rep points for the spiderman with the thinking cap on

Nice idea and I would definitely be up for that also, the only snag for me is, my camcorder is analogue and not digital as it only records via 8mm camcorder tapes, but in saying that, it would be worth having any high runs converted to digital and then uploaded to youtube or somewhere like that :)

I'm up for it

Can someone who uses Windows Movie Maker or something similar to capture the video give a quick rundown of appropriate program settings for this particular use of the program?

Thanks

I just learned myself but i'll do my best.First, save your video to your hard drive. Second, Open Movie Maker. Third, Click "File" then click "import into collections" and find your video on your computer. Your video should now be opened. Your video will be divided into sections for editing. You must now "drag and drop" all desired video sections to the movie strip at the bottom. Once you have your video sections on the bottom(storyboard) you must now Click "save to my computer and you should be done.

Then just register with poolvids and upload the new file. I hope you can understand this. lol. i tried.

Thanks leaguedude. I was actually wondering how to set it up so that you just record video directly to the hard drive. What quality settings, bit rate, frame rate, etc. are necessary?

Thats a great idea, i have often debated bringing my DV with me when i shoot, but ithink it would be awkward asking the guy that you are gonna play if you could use the camera. especialy if you are gambling!
