Hill-Hill & You're Shooting the 9 For the Dough

Here's a 15 ball drill that will actually help your game.

Put the 8 in the center. Put the stripes on one half and the solids on the other.
Run all stripes or solids while staying on that half of the table. Then cross over to the other half and do the same. If you cross over prematurely or hit the 8 ball, start over.

A variation would be the same set up, but alternate between stripes and solids. You are allowed to cross over at any time, but not mandatory. Although the advanced version would have you doing so every shot. Helps in pattern planning and getting on the right side of the ball. Wrong pattern and wrong side makes it tough to cross over.

Another 15 ball practice variation

Play all 15 balls in one of the corner pockets. This one will be a challenge.

Or another idea Ducky, why just not play 14.1 and keep track of your innings and high runs. Should that not be the purpose of your practice to decrease your innings and increase your high runs? I don't see how throwing out 15 balls and running them without getting on break ball for the next rack is useful practice.

In other words you dont have the skill to run out 15 ball just rolled out on the table.

Meaning you don't have the balls to even try and post a video doing it.

What you were doing was just banging away. I was not impressed. I see guys shoot likes this all the time. Get them in a 14.1 game, they fall apart.

How do you not what to troubleshoot if you dont try something new and challegeneing.

You shoot like a banger. Another one that likes to talk about improving rather than improving.

On and if you are not serious about asking for input ...don't. But it is apparent all you really wanted was to have your ego stroked.
Hitting one ball after another in the same pocket, wow, great skill there. Now putting in in the pocket and getting the CB here you want is skill, which you are greatly lacking in.

You have no idea how to play great pool cause guys like you think 9 ball is a real game of skill.

I bet you cant set up these two layouts and run them all in back to back. I mean a person of your skill should have no issues doing so.

Now this is a critique versus a suggestion.

You are one funny guy. I'm starting to wonder if we have all been taken. Has this all been one seriously long trolling scheme of yours? I should have been tipped off when you first started talking about the arrow, but I thought you were being serious. I don't know.

Anyway...

I've really enjoyed my time on AZ. I come here for a variety of reasons. One of the many reasons I come on this forum is to bounce ideas off of other players and learn new things in the process.

I've learned quite a bit on here over the past few years and I've come to realize that I was wrong about many things.

You on the other hand -- I can't imagine there's a single thing you have learned in your time here and that's really sad, but oh well -- keep doing your thing.

P.S. I'm always serious about getting input from other players. I've posted a lot of different videos over the years and they weren't all pretty either. But just because I ask for input it doesn't mean that I will accept all of it.

Agreed!

I will add that I too have put videos up, and asked lots of questions over the years, some seemingly basic and low-level, and I've been amazed at the civil discourse between very knowledgeable players and instructors.

Its a shame you can't find much helpful material here, Greg.
