Ok.. so is it me, or do certain cues just have trouble finding homes? I see a lot of the same cues come up for sale. Does anyone have a reason, or would like to fathom a guess?
Is everyone a closet cue flipper?
Bad economy forces cue possession time to be shortened?
Upgrading collection?
Over-rated cue hype?
All of the above???
JV
too many variables involved! currently think supply is too high.
collectors gain knowledge (some even gain it before they start buying cues

), tastes change, and styles change (wrapless).
some people buy what they like, some worry more about resale.
discretionary cue buyin' bucks available, goes up and down.
i can't stand the hassles with selling cues, so sure don't think everyone is a closet flipper.
flipping to me means a quick profit . . . not a whole lot of that happening these days.
or it may happen with a lot smaller returns.
course you still have the "hot maker" flip, but one of the reasons they're "hot" is they don't put much work out!
and like you had mentioned in the other post, the "finds" on ebay, are fewer and far between.
i would much rather turn seller cues over to someone else, to move for me, since i'm not the most diplomatic salesperson.
think i'd call them transient cues, instead of homeless . . . or cues that like to travel!
they always have a home, it's just changin' all the time.
it is embarrassing when a lot of collector cues, have gotten to see more of the world than i have!
was just thinking about one cue that's made more cross atlantic trips!
