any cue with the single thin white ring at the bottom is considered a Hoppe style
The original rind was also known as a Rambro ring
Whether it has inlays is immaterial,
but most of the early ones had no inlays
seldom does Barry do a fancy cue with the ring
i like the cues both ways, fancy or plain
post your cue tomorrow to show us a perfect classic style Scruggs
i am having schon make me some Hoppe style cues (the only ones they have ever made as far as I know) that I think will become instant classics, they are sending me 7 this month
all sold but one,i look forward to sharing my pictures here if it doesn't sell soon
when you show your Scruggs ,maybe others will share pictures here and display
the wide difference acceptable in the Hoppe
a recent discussion involves bumper or no bumper,it would be interesting to get comments on that as well.
