I say post them up! When you get visitors to play in your home room they inevitably might be up past your bedtime and might have excess money to win/lose and need to know where to stay and play safely.

They're everywhere, even in many bars. Pool is the second biggest indoor sport in the country and the top players are sports heros. A lot, lot different than here.

I agree a short walk is mighty fine over driving considering the potential consequences of driving when not on the natch. I always when traveling for work try to find something close within walking distance for pool urges. I got a mile walk to about 13-15 diamond bar tables and free roll holdem tournaments. Loving it while it's warm anyways.
What is the first rated indoor sport out of curiosity?
When I was in Manila some years ago, my cab driver from the airport asked me where I’ve from (Canada). He asked what I was looking forward to and I said I was hoping to see some good pool.
He got all excited and said “you’re from Canada! Alex Pagulayan, John Morra, Jason Klatt!”
There are people I play league with in Canada who couldn’t name 3 Canadian pros.

You have to be able to play in humid conditions...and bring your own balls.

Seriously???? The LAST thing on my mind booking a hotel is 'does it have a pool table". A decent place to shit-shower-n-shave yes but a pool table? I can honestly say i've never seen such a place. Did stay in one that had a attached bar with a couple shitty Valley's but that's it.
I stayed in a hotel in Albany (or maybe it was Buffalo...can't remember) that had an attached bar with one crappy bar box. But there were only two cues, and neither one had a tip.

This brings to mind something I learned many years ago. When going on vacation (usually to resorts), but a few pieces of Master chalk and a tip tool. I’ve found many of them have pool tables (not necessarily advertised) but the cues will have flat tips and chalk may be nonexistent.
A few minutes of work with a paper towel to clean the shaft and shape the tip is worth it. And I usually donate the chalk by leaving it when I leave.

My father bought a hotel on fort Lauderdale Beach years ago I'm talking like the 50s. It actually had a for real billiard room two Brunswick tables nicely laid out chairs carpeting chandeliers. I guess was kind of a throwback to another time.
It's not where I first started playing but I just enjoy playing there. The only problem was, it was only about 100 yd from the ocean and it would get a little brutal in there sometimes even with the air conditioning which in the 50s wasn't the best.
I remember reading the hotel that Minnesota fats lived in had a billiard room in it that they had put in just for him. I wonder if it's still there?

The W across from navy pier in Chicago has a table, Aloft and tru(hiltons kinda version of aloft) has them. Quite a few high end suites(thousands per night) have them.
Also, Aloft is very dog friendly

I would recommend the Renaissance Hotel Los Angles airport if needing a place to stay and flying out of LAX. They have a pool table in the lounge that was in good condition. It was a great place to relax, decompress and hit some balls after a Disney and Legoland visit. It wasn’t remarkable enough to take any pictures but I would recommend. Table time was free (I think) and atmosphere was chill.

Well, in the case of my previous post, my wife booked a hotel specifically looking for a pool table. I am certain I am in a market segment that should be ignored but I’ll continue to provide preference to hotels that have them.
