Shane has three us opens this year, the money title once again, tied Earl Stricklands five us opens, and is the player of the decade. I'm beginning to think if Shaw does get it, it would be more like welfare. Shaws a great player but needs to at least have the money title before he can be the man.

5 for 6 in head-to-head matches.

The barbox US Open titles aren't as prestigious.

Wow , really ?!
Didnt know my idol Jayson actually beat Shane in 5 outta 6 outings ?

I mean Jayson's my favourite player but i still feel Shane has an edge over him in some aspects like breaking, mental composure n handling pressure.
Shane still seems to own the lights on america soil.

Jayson dont seem to do too well against shane in most matches i watched , often getting to d hill with a big lead n dogging an easy shot n Shane storming back to win.

Mind sharing what r d tournaments Jayson beat Shane 5 times ?
Are they big tournaments ?

Thanks

Really fan boy? Shaw beat Shane 5 out of 6 matches they played head to head this year if I recall correctly with Shane's only win being a dubious one at best in this years US Open & that match could have easily gone the other way.

To win something you can't leave it to chance.

I've seen a lot of people apply for management spots in my field when they open up. Oftentimes they are very qualified but don't end up getting the position. Sometimes they grumble that the person that was hired wasn't any more qualified than they were, and in some areas they were better qualified. But I've always looked at it like this- if you want to get promoted, you can't just be good enough to get an interview, you can't simply be good enough to be in the running...it's your job to demonstrate that you are heads and shoulders ahead of the next candidate. If you can't do that, then it's going to come down to a hiring managers judgement, and it won't always go your way. In that case you need to double down and develop yourself so next time you are the dominant candidate.

Point is that both of these players have had a tremendous year and are worthy of consideration. No one is getting cheated, someone has to be elected winner. I don't think SVB really is that hung up with it, but if he truly wanted this title then it's his job to bury Shaw next year and not leave it open to debate.

Can someone link to the player of the year? Has he/she been chosen? This thread looks to me like the OP is writing from a position of being disappointed that Shaw won. But I don't see anything on AZ's homepage that "anyone" has won. Are we putting the cart before the horse here?
