How come no one is commenting on this announcement - US Open 10-Ball Championship

US Open 10-Ball

Bump for this question.

There are no 'reservation codes' yet but this will be taking place along side the BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships.

Riviera Hotel & Casino May 14-22, 2010.

The actual event schedule will not be up for several months - since the World Pool Masters should also be present at this event.

Hotel accomodations can be made at the Riviera Hotel. Tickets will be available for purchase several months before the event.

This could be a GREAT event!!!

Opportuinties Abound...Time To Play!

The entire team at CSI is excited about the US Open 10-Ball Championship! Remember also...players have an opportunity to win money and qualify for a paid entry to the 2010 US Open 10-Ball event at the NCS 9-Ball and 10-Ball National Championships being held at the Golden Nugget Sept. 3-7, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV.

Here are a few details about the NCS 9 and 10-Ball National Championships:

  • They will be held back to back but are two separate events
  • The NCS 9-Ball National Championship will take place Sept. 3-5 and the NCS 10-Ball National Championship will take place Sept. 5-7.
  • Each event has a max field of 64 players
  • To be eligible you must be a US citizen or permanent resident who has lived full-time in the US the previous 12 months prior to playing in the NCS.
  • Each event has a prize fund of $32,000 (based on a full field), that is a potential total prize fund of $64,000 in 5 days (if both have a full 64)
  • You must have particiapated in an NCS qualifier at a host room around the country in order to play at the NCS national 9 and / or 10 ball event. There are qualifiers being held in both cue sports July and August.
  • The top two finishers in both the NCS 9-Ball and NCS-10 Ball National Championships will receive, in addition to cash and prizes, a paid entry into the 2010 US Open 10-Ball Championship!

Through the NCS, CueSports International is establishing a way to promote the local poolrooms and strengthen US national pool event opportunities. We have set up a system where players all over the country can pay a modest entry fee at a qualifier to win their entry to the national level and work to become an open US national champion!

It is inexpensive, only $100 sanction fee, for a pool room, independent promoter or tournament director to host a qualifier. We print out banners and a flyer template for the room to use to promote the qualifier. We also use the sanction fee to pay for advertising.

Please contact the CSI office at 702-719-7665 or email me at holly@playcsipool.com for more information about the NCS or any other independent events which we produce.

Holly,
Are there reservation/discount room codes at the Nugget for the NCS event in Sept? I notice that is on Labor Day weekend. Thanks.

Holly - the pool room you inquired about for a qualifier only has 4 big tables so I am not able to assist. In fact, no pool room in the St Louis area has more than 6 big tables (unless one is slipping my mind).

Hope all is well.
