dechaine and shuff.

i ask because watching brandon first and second day of the cup. but he is new to it....

dechaine... not doing much better at the cup and old as early kicked his ass in 2012 ginky memorial... you can see it on youtube...

fist day i watched the cup i was like " i know that guy from some were and i am more than sure he cant shoot to save his life..."

so not trying to bash them but, are we scrapping the bottom of the barrel for pool players for the cup or are they really good and just not showing it...

hope they can help more on day 3 and 4

Don't know where you get your information but Dechaine is a champion.
Ask Hatch how he plays
 
well i am glad to hear that he can play... the way he played earl in that youtube clip didnt help... they way he played in that vid i could have beat him...

but i am glad that he is a player.. i just want some hope for team USA.. thanks for the info.

I would be willing to say that the only two Americans are truly better than dechaine would be archer and svb, and they're not exactly huge favorites.

You talking about shuff, Shuff is a real good player he will pull hes load just watch.
 
They're on it by virtue of earning points in points earning tournaments throughout the course of the year.

Just for anyone who isn't keeping up:

The Mosconi Cup is not pool. It is a TV show. Saying someone is a great or terrible player based on how they play during the Mosconi Cup is quite simply dumber than a box of shit.

This match is set up to be an opportunity for working class people to gamble and drink, not a test of pool players ability. Five short games tell you nothing about a player, only who got lucky.
 
There's a video of some kid beating Efren on youtube. There are plenty of videos of SVB crushing well known players and also videos of him losing to lesser known players. So going by what you're saying the best players never lose?
 
I'm not wanting to take sides in this but... Basing qualification to an international team tournament on finishes in arbitrary tournaments isn't much better. I'm not singling anyone out but we're not posting our best 5.

This is the funniest (true by the way) thing I've read on here in a while. I agree with Justin's statement as well.. :rotflmao1:
 
I will have to disagree with anyone who thinks this is merely a TV show, and not a real match. These guys are all playing their hearts out, with every game a battle. In a short match each game takes on added importance. One mistake can cost you the match, just as it did yesterday. This only adds more pressure every turn at the table. The winning team will be the one that handles the pressure the best.

Are these guys good? You're damn right they are!
