How do you break in a new cue case?

I just picked up a brand new Stroke Sport case formerly Instroke from IndyQ. I really must say what a fabulous case and even more fabulous person to buy from!

I got the case and want to know if it needs mink oil or anything on it prior to use? I was just curious how others break in their new case prior to taking it out for daily use?

Sorry, at first glance, I thought it an odd question. Kinda like how would you break in a new cue? Play with it every day.
I've never owned a leather case that I've needed to do anything to other than wipe it down once in a while. Mine have been all shiny leather, though. With the case you have, you may want to do something to it. Maybe someone who has had this kind of case can better answer your question.
 
Don't laugh! Hubbards shoe grease is one of the greatest leather conditioners I've seen.Its kept my old Instroke looking better than new for a long time. Don

I have had many leather cases. Just put cues in it and use it...Unless you're rough on your stuff, you won't need ANYTHING.
 
Use Mink oil only once a year, it softens up the thread they use for stitching up the case if used to much. John Barton told me this and he is the original owner of Instroke Cases, it's great for the case though, and I use it also. Roy is a good guy to deal with he knows his cues, that's for sure, we're good buddy's.

you can ask here JOHN BARTON, the original maker of Instroke, for some tips on case care especially for leathers. Try to search for his name here, he usually posts on cue case topics:)

If it has goodie pockets take the foam inserts if it has them and cut into them for what you will carry so the foam holds the pockets in position and no wrinkles etc over time by collapsed pockets for your goodies.Thats what Whitten told me and I have done that ever since and it works great.I removed the foam and cut in holes for my scruffer and chalkbox etc and the goodie pockets look new still.I use mink oil on my old instroke and it looks fine and like new.I do abuse the case though but it has held up for the money.

What did he sell out ? Also was the other case what was it called vincintore made by a worker at instorke or by instoke or what was that deal?
