How do you think Scott Frost would match up with?

Watched Scott Frost give Billy Incardona the break and a pick in one pocket action at DCC. Scott won six up at $300.00 per game. Billy had an extra $300.00 on himself with the railbirds. Billy quit $3,600.00 down. Days later was inducted into the Hall Of Fame. I backed Scott Frost but was incredibly impressed with Billy. IMO, he is one class guy!

Begs a question though for me?

How would Scott Frost match up against the following in one pocket on a Nine Foot Diamond Pro w/ 860 Simonis against the following:

Tony Chohan aka, "T-REX"
Ronnie Wiseman
Nick Varner
Kim Bennet
Efren Reyes
Fatboy
Cliff Joyner
Gabe Owen
Jose Parica
Alex Pagulayan

He's gonna need a couple balls from Reyes, possibly 1 from Joyner and he'll probably stomp the shit out of everybody else on that list

Scott vs. Joyner

During the match between Joyner and SVB at DCC, Scott was standing next to me and said something to the effect that he learned to play 1-pocket from Joyner and that Joyner was his mentor/buddy, in a sense. According to Scott, he used to get beat up pretty bad by Joyner gambling at 1-pocket before. But now, he plays Joyner even and beats him.

Disclaimer: To me, Scott obviously already had at least a few drinks at this time. So, take it for what it's worth.

I watched Scott on TAR during DCC, and he's an absolute monster. I see T-Rex play quite a bit, Ronnie too, and I would say that Tony would absolutely need his A game.

Kim Bennet ? Fatboy ? Now I get it;) ...lol...Tom

Well, he at least learned MORE from Joyner. He first learned one pocket from Don McCoy (McCaughey). I watched them go at it for about a year at Don's old pool hall in Des Moines back in the 90's.

Frost vs. Nick

They played 3 or 4 years ago at the dcc for 200 a game. Nick won and is quoted as saying while playing...."This is like stone stealing". Of course, I'm sure it would be a different game now with Nick's health issues.

Aah, no....Scott might be the favorite, but he would not stomp the sh1t out of Chohan, Alex, or Gabe

One thing you left out of the Billy vs Scott match up. Billy lost 3600 but previously Billy took Scott down for over 20K in Dallas. Matching up with Billy is the question. How would many match up with him? We dont really know because he keeps his speed in check. I know he will exploit this loss for future profit. This is the Billy we know and love. Oh and fear.

Scoot is an awesome One pocket player, who can be found at Kolby's in Tempe AZ most days, or should I say pm's.

Concistent with what I heard from him also. Strangely enough, Cliff wanted to bet me $100.00 that Billy would beat him?

Was unaware of Dallas match. Scott did say they had a "history" but claims he beat Billy for $12,000.00 during their first encounter. Maybe they have matched up now three times and if the numbers are correct as stated and I know as a fact the DCC match was correct, then Billy is still ahead by a bundle. Would like to see them play even. Giving a player of Billy's skills, the break and a pick is a hard spot to overcome even for Scott Frost.

JMO: he needs at least 2 balls from efren, beats cliff even, between scott, tony and gabe if they re all playing good its gambling to bet against any of them.

I saw Effren play Scott some one pocket a year ago at DCC for 300 a game. Effren I believe was giving him 9-7 and beat him 12 in a row and Scott quit. Scotts a very good one pocket player, probably a ball under Joyner and at least two under Reyes.

It really doesn't matter much to me who Scott is playing....I feel he's a threat to beat anyone anytime. I'd put him #2 behind Efren, and even to 1/2 a ball over the rest on the list.

I'm left handed and I play basically wide open, so watching Scott play one pocket makes sense to me. What was really cool was listening to him commentate for TAR while Shane was playing one pocket. Sounded like to me Scott may be mentoring Shane in that respect. Scott never missed a correct call during that match, and He was very articulate with his wording showing me a different side of him I didn't know. He was even nice enough to give Shane a pep talk after he slept a scratch and racked the balls owing one.:D

Scott Frost

Against all but Efren....his game at it's best is just on another planet. The remaining on that list he would have his hands full. He is not, like some would believe a ball or two better than any of those players. He might be the favorite with some, but not by much.

I dont understand how you guys can say Joyner is better, where is your proof?Scott has been beating him even in recent times,he is the 2nd in the world in 1 hole and Cliff is a close 3rd. ;)
