How does this drill go?

Can someone refresh my memory on how this drill is supposed to be setup?

The layout is something like what's pictured below and I think you're supposed to run all the balls in 10 shots or less, but I cannot remember for sure... I must be getting old. :(

The setup is correct, except for the three balls in the middle. They are in a line down the centerline of the table, instead of across. IF you can pocket all the balls in 10 shots, that would be VERY good. Remember...anytime you fail to pocket anything, you have to spot up a ball. If you scratch, you have to spot two balls. You go bust, in this drill, once you pass 20 shots. Anyone should be able to clear the table in 15 shots. I have done this in 7...and can almost always do it in 10 or 12. It teaches you how to carom the CB off of other balls, while using tangent lines to pocket several balls in a single shot.

this is the way I was taught the drill. start with this exact layout, with ball in hand behind the line, have fun trying different patterns. its a pool puzzle. I never saw this with the center balls longways as another poster suggests, but u certainly can make variations. with the balls longways, its not the same drill because certain shots aren't there if u move the center balls. but either way it will teach u Q ball movement and effects of angle and spin.

I'm not sure what the drill accomplishes. So you wanna make the 2 balls in each corner with one shot and you break-up the center on the first shot.

What a coincidence, I just saw someone doing this drill just this last weekend. Never seen it before that. She made 3 balls in her first shot by hitting the 8/4/6 as shown in the cuetable above.
