Last night i was playing pool with my girlfriend at the bar. We were playing on a 7 foot table. Usually when we play i give her some sort of spot, like playing one handed, left handed, running my balls in order, 'banks, kicks, caroms and combos ONLY', etc... Anyways this time i gave her the I'll run my balls in order, and anytime i fail to make contact on the lowest ball of my group its a foul. She can slop anything. So this is what happened:
I break, don't make a ball.
She pockets a hanger (solid) over the side, then misses a shot to the corner.
I Run OUT, shooting 9,10,11,12,13,14,15,8. All consecutive.
How hard is that? I was thrilled thinking its about 20 times harder than a normal 9 ball runnout since there is 6 blockers. I had to break out balls, its was a 7 footer making everything really small and tight position, plus i had to do some shots i didn't know i was capable of. Like crazy reverse siding, curving force follow through a small gap, etc...
How tough do you guys think it is? Has anyone else here ever made this spot and ran out?
I make this spot all the time, and it usually results in a long game where i never get a decent chance to run out. I didn't think i could ever successfully navigate through 6 blockers and run 8 balls.
I've gotten pretty excited over this and now i have a new goal that I'm gonna start trying. BREAK AND RUN A RACK OF ROTATION!! Does anyone here have a good rack for rotation? I mean order of balls, to make it the easiest? Rotation is a tough enough game, so I'll need a decent layout, and the rack the same every time. Any advise for the 1 in the side break and how to get on the 2? Any rules like ' If you rack the 2 on the right corner break from the left' or anything like that? I need all the help i can get here, but IM GONNA DO IT!!
Last stupid question: Is it possible for a B player to run a rack of rotation? Just thinking, if i do this, will that be my final step to becoming an A player? hehe i know i annoy you guys with this B/A thing, but i think I've found a goal here, that if i accomplish, i would be assured that i was an A player.
