How is the local pool scene in Houston TX, and are the pool halls there open yet?

F^&k forgiveness. At least in this case. These two shitbags didn't just rob and assault one woman. They did it multiple times with ZERO regard for the victims. Chopping off a finger to get a ring???? WTF??? These asswipes are animals in my book. Let 'em both rot in some dark pit.
I agree with you for sure on forgiveness. Gabby and the others involved in that get none from me!

I'm not sure why PVC Lou was pressing that point.

Have no clue about any Calif crimes. What Gabby went to the joint for happened between '93 and '98 in the Houston area. Its all in the articles that have been posted here. Done on this and my apologies for 'jacking the OP's thread. BTW, pool is alive in well in H-town if one believes all the action/tournaments stuff i keep hearing.

Looks like he did less than 20 years after all. I thought they gave him Life, but even then you can still get paroled. People are in prison in Texas for longer periods of time for possession of marijuana!

He went by the name Larry when he was out hustling, but I see his real name here, Mouise Pouncy. He has to be in his late 60's now.

Just stating my opinion, like you two knuckle heads.
Then i guess you'd let either one of them drive your mom to the grocery store, right? You really think prison had ANY effect on these two canker sores?? Yeah right.

You guys are very quick to condemn someone you don't know over something you haven't witnessed. He paid about half his life in lockup. That I do know.

I read a post on here that he was the fall guy, and that the person who turned in states evidence (in order to get a much lesser sentence, I assume), was the one who did the robbing and cutting off of the ladies fingers, in order to steel their rings.

Sorry op...your thread got hijacked here but typically that happens as discussions flow in many ways..sometimes that is the best part of AZB.

This story is very interesting to me. I searched his name on here, and read a very interesting thread about Gabby. This one poster seemed to really know what he was talking about, and believes that Gabby was a fall guy, and innocent of the crimes that he was convicted of.

Check this thread out.

Those things are probably available but I do not have access to them.

"but isn't there something to be said for repentance and forgiveness?"

Yes. By law he was convicted, served his time until he was paroled and is free. That does not make him an innocent man however. If you want to forgive him, shoot pool with him, what ever that is your choice. I will take a pass on that.

He may have been set up, and wrongly convicted of the crimes though. We should not judge people about things that we do not know for a fact to be true. We live in a very corrupt society, so I think that it is not too far fetched that he may have been set up, like the poster "King T" talks about toward the end of this thread below.

There are solid points there however if you and I go on a crime spree and it goes bad..we are both very responsible for what happened.

Ever spend any time in Texas?? Yes, they are pretty tough on crime but those DA's down there aren't aren't in the habit of getting 40yr. sentences for someone that 'may' have been involved. I don't care which one chopped off the finger. The fact that they were strong-arm robbing older woman for their jewelry is sick. Don't start the poor little bleedin' heart shit.
