How long have you been playing with your cue?

How long

40 plus years, it still dead staight and you can't beat shafts that have been aged 40-50 years.
It an 8 pt. Gina Ernie made in 64 or 65.

Wow...I would love to see that cue especially the shaft.

Duc.

Been playing seriously probably for the last year and a half, but got bitten by the cue bug hard. I've been lucky enough to have tried a ton of different cues, but I think the longest I've used a cue was my Diveney Butterfly Hustler...for 4 months.

Though I don't deserve it, I was able to get a beautiful ebony Cognoscenti at a great price through a buddy. Always been a fan of Joey's work since visiting his shop with my McDermott a year ago. After watching how he builds his cues, I've always wanted one. It plays phenomenally, and I think this will be my keeper :-)

Although the most fun I've ever had with a cue was my Meucci Road Agent from the early 90's. It was 12mm of whippiness and did all sorts of slop magic in 9 ball. And being Chicago born and bred, I loved the skyline on the butt of the cue. I think I only had that cue for 3 months, and I regret selling it a bit.

My cue

I've bought and sold a lot of cues as a hobby and it allowed me to try many different cues, shafts, and joint styles. I sold my current cue twice and somehow I managed to get it back and I'm going to hang on to it this time since I've never found another cue I liked better. The only thing I missed about some of the other cues I owned is a few of them have gone up in value.

Yeah... I wish I keep a few of those cues that I've sold long ago. I've just found another cue that I think I will be starting to play with. It's a 1998 Fancy Russ Espiritu cue that weigh in at 21.70oz played with it in a tournament last night and it played very well. One of those cues that make playing pool very enjoyable. :)
