How many countries could beat USA at pool

We must agree to disagree.

I have seen the likes of too many USA Mosconi Cup players showing to be in a different state of mindset playing in the MC as opposed to any tournament played in America. I saw Mike Dechaine (our #2 ranked US player) in such a state of discomfort that he was sweating all over himself, not to mention dogging far too many shots. I've seen our best player, SVB, literally hang his head and give up after missing a makeable shot. I'm not even going to go into some of the Earl and Rodney antics.

Simply put, they do not hold up well under the pressure/heckling that the MC crowd throws at them. NOWHERE in other tournaments (where their Fargo rates are calculated) do they have to play under those extreme conditions. Why is that so hard to comprehend?

The Europeans (with the exception of Nick Van Den Berg) just seem to hold it together better than the Americans during the Mosconi Cup.

And....you simply cannot compare the Mosconi Cup tournament to ANY tournament held in America. Two different animals. MC is a tiger....US tournaments are kittens in comparison.

So, for eight straight years jump cues and short races are the reasons the American team has had their a$$es handed to them? Last time I checked, the USA team had jump cues and were playing short races too.

When equipment and computer statistics is how you figure things and you take the minds (coolness under pressure) and hearts (quit) out of the equation, there is a key ingredient being omitted.

I absolutely KNOW that our (USA) team has players just as physically talented as the Europeans, so you just have to know there are other variables at play during the MC competition.

Hang-the-9...Yeah, and how many times did your kid win the Jr Nationals? Oh? None? Probably shouldn't throw stones. Both girls were in their very last junior tournament competition EVER, and nerves were clearly in play. That's why you got the negative reactions. You make idiotic comments like that frequently. Your kid had a lot of flaws when he played too...which is why he never won either.

Heck, there was a match between two girls in the 18 and under group with one of them said she played 6 times at Nationals, neither of them could make more than 3 balls in a row. Only in the US would that level of skill be able to play at a country-wide National event. When I pointed out that they both needed at least several months of lessons and more experience playing locally before going to Nationals in the chat, people were all against me saying "they are kids! how dare you!", like it was a tournament you go to if you found a cue in your house a week ago and say you are a pool player.

Yeah it’s at such a hush hush level on that even existing....no one out to be fussing about anyone’s performance levels that’s competing.....I mean I wish I had known as a teen, trust me my cue wasn’t found in no closet either lol. I mean I’d get it if every other child was a kid like Dee Atkins son or another Landon shuffet.

If better is a necessity then we all head start puttin cash and work up for it cuz it’s coming no way else.

Moneybags ain’t gonna come for a visit and say here ya go laddies the games on me .

I was faster than the fella who substituted for me to run in Hawaii and Australia summer I graduated because he could afford the plane ticket.....he ain’t got chit to do with me not being able to go.

Takes nuts to show up if ones not in top shape to perform even and especially for a kid lol. Give us all the misfits and couch potatoes gamer nerds the bullied the poor and even the well to dos and rich kids lol you rich kids share that expensive chalk now be nice lol.

I know what wins the Mosconi Cup, jump cues and short races. I watched videos that is a race to 9 that had the commentators say that is too short of a race for pros, never mind a race to 5.

Play 10 ball, called shot, no jump cues, race to 7, then I think the results will change a bit.
More excuses. The conditions are the same for both teams, why can't you just accept it?
