gotta love the yahoos. i love the guys that do a moori by hand and show it to me. then say " can you believe i did this by hand" lol yes i can

i want to say "i could have chewed it on with my teeth better!!!"

i never do though. lol

You never chew on them or say it? ;) :D

I bet if you soak a moori in some sake and soy sauce it would not be half bad.

I know all of the locals who do any kind of repair. Two have a lathe & one does not. The one with no lathe or any equipment besides glue & sandpaper does some pretty hacky work. I make fun of him & tease him about it, and we both giggle knowing i'm only taunting in fun. One of the guys with a lathe is an older fellow just learning, so I tease him a lot, too. We all have fun with it. The other guy with the lathe is a well established & known veteran cuemaker & is the choice for repairs by most local players. I don't do repairs except when asked by a freind, and even then I usually refer them to the other guy. If I agree to do a repair then it's minor & I won't charge. We are all freinds & get along, nothing competitive, so it's kinda fun to tease one another. I lived here for three years before the pool playing population even knew I built cues. I still have not sold a cue to a local, just tell them to get in line like anybody else. There are a couple guys i'd make an exception for but they are not the kind that would ask.
